Rare h20skibum Posted July 31 #126777 Share Posted July 31 We had all the grandkids stay over last night. I had to be up early to drive my daughter into Pittsburgh for a procedure. On our way down I-79, we passed Cooper’s Lake, and the venue was filled with tents. I mean, the tents were almost on top of each other and there were thousands of them. Turns out there is a Pennsic event going on there for a couple of weeks. I didn’t even know this medieval event was a thing. It appears they have a huge crowd.

We may see @HBE4 wandering around the airport, because we get in close to his time. We arranged our ride for a little later so we could feed the grandkids after the flight. Safe travels tomorrow, Mark, to you and family. Bon Voyage on Friday!🛳️ @HBE4 Safe travels to you also!! FromSea2ShiningSea Posted August 1 #126786 Share Posted August 1 7/15/2024 - Olden, Norway - Gateway to the Glaciers Our excursion for the day was Briksdalsbre Glacier by Troll Car We drove through beautiful lakefronts and passed through the colorful Nordic countryside with lots of waterfalls along the way. When we reached the Briksdal Inn, we exchanged the motor coach for a troll car, “an electric, low-noise buggy, where we cross a river and ascend in zigzags to the top of the nearby falls until we reach the entrance to Jostedalsbreen National Park, one of the largest intact wilderness areas in southern Norway”. 31

helen haywood Posted August 1 #126793 Share Posted August 1 (edited) We watched Witness last night. It was the first movie we saw together when we were dating in 1986. I still love the barn raising scene…and the accompanying music. It’s stood the test of time; I think it’s just as good now as when it was made 39 years ago! derorim Posted August 1 #126794 Share Posted August 1 @Coralc How are you doing? I read that Kathie Lee Gifford fell and fractured her pelvis in two places, and thought of you. My friend that did the same thing in January is doing much better. I hope you are making progress and feeling less pain. 8

Yes to the barn raising scene and music. I also loved how the grandfather explained why guns are bad to his grandson.

Non-stop meowing & howling and normally he'd be sleeping at my step daughters side right now but instead he's been my shadow. After what seems like 96 hours of non-stop petting, he's calmed down. He going to be happy when he realizes his human mommy is staying home with him. 10
