Does this mean we are cruising???

Recommended Posts

OP - sorry no.
The docs were likely computer generated regardless of RCCL future plans.

I had a recent cancelled cruise yet every day when I should have been on the cruise  I received a cruise planner reminder of dinner reservations. Ouch!

I hope you get to cruise.

I just received our sailing documents, via email, for our 7 day cruise, our of New Orleans, for August 1st, traveling to Key West, Nassau & Coco Cay.  Does this mean we are good to go with our sailing????  Sure would like to know, since I could possibly book another vacation on that date?  your thoughts? opinions? anyone else on the sailing?

Hi

Well our July 11th cruise was cancelled about 7 weeks  prior and we had never received our sailing documents.

We only received cancellation so for you i would say if it was me i would be thinking you would be going ... watch this space as it may be that they will sail ... i hope you do get to do your cruise.

In other words,  NO source.

The NY/NJ Port Authority was giving a press conference. The primary concerns are the tunnels, bridges and mass transit in and out of the city.

A reporter asked about Cruise ship ports opening, and some one on the stage, NOT the person giving the press conference but one of those who stand in the background jumped in and said no cruises this year.

I went to the Port Authority web site that lists ALL the news releases, some a few times a day, and there is no mention about Cruise ships. Only talk concerning the ports are commercial cargo and oil shipping, supply chain issues.

I am paying close attention to the NY/NJ cruise ship ports as I am booked to cruise Oct 18 on Oasis OTS from Bayonne, NJ.  I went to the port authority website for Port Liberty & found no information.

I have read that the bigger ships will be sailing first so I am hopeful.  Now this rumor has come up about NY/NJ & I'm hoping it is just that (rumor).

Yes, I recall that post on CC, and I, too, researched it as much as possible and found no evidence to support or refute it.

Repeating rumors heard only on CC does not make them truer.  Thank you for reposting the original information.  Very helpful.

I cannot recall any instances of my posting false information on Cruise Critic.  Perhaps @Casino Comp Chick can produce some evidence to the contrary.   🙂

I received mine this morning for the Independence on August 3.  I did take a look at the luggage tags, for old times’ sake 😢.  There is still a tiny bit of hope, but....
