Advice - Help to Lift/Shift Five 2020 Rhapsody cruises

It sounded like they lifted and shifted with everything intact and then wanted to change categories to a non obstructed view.  In that case the reservation is no longer price protected and OBC would be lost however they should retain the next cruise OBC.

Yes.  TA Was told 3 times now, including by a supervisor, will lose the next cruise OBC - was $200 due to cruise length and should still be $200 on the new cruise - if I do change categories.

Lift & Shift Success!   Just wanted to report that our five Rhapsody cruises have all been changed to Harmony 2021.  Ended up submitting L&S form to RC for Rhapsody Nov. 7th crossing myself & it was done in 24 hours.  This was after being given "no" twice.  

 

A HUGE thank you to Ken.  I followed his advice - yes -  do it yourself.  And it worked.

Glad it worked out.  I just did another couple yesterday that were refused by the casino so I did them online and had the approval today.  
 

So, are you actually from Toronto or just use that as many of us do as it is a recognizable city...we are just to the East.

You were so right.  Think casino was trying to upsell me.  Anyway, lesson learned thanks to you.

 

Yup, mid-town Toronto.  For last 10 years we did spend six months of the year in Puerto Rico.

I was able to L&S rhapsody to Harmony Owners suite at a huge savings over price of a Royal Sky Class suite.  Then rebooked rhapsody because I really liked the itinerary.  Was able to get my original OS and price for the rebooking.

late to the game here, not quite understanding what you did that some people have already been doing. Someone even quoted interesting strategy. What do you do differently?

Nothing different.  Maybe because I kept the original itinerary too?  L&S for the specific purpose of getting a room class/ship I could never afford?
