riffatsea Posted August 26, 2020 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2020 I would think we are talking about full suites and where club class dining is located!

skynight Posted August 26, 2020 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2020 Club class dining is in the Da Vinci DR, deck 6, mid ship. I believe the Mimosa breakfast on the Grand is in the Crown Grill on Deck 7. Check once on board.

I thought you could go to any dining room out there.. is it some fancy and designated dining room for suite guests only? I haven't cruised for a long time, dont remember how these things work. In any case, if you are a suite guest, you must have access to all the dining rooms there

In any case, if you are a suite guest, you must have access to all the dining rooms there Princess introduced Club Class Dining for Club Class Mini Suite and Suite guests. They have blocked off a portion of one of the main dining rooms and given it a seperate entrance, for most ships. There is a slight variation of the main dining room menu. More personalized service and more of a anytime dining experience. Little to no wait. It does come at a cost. Many do like it.
AF-1 Posted August 26, 2020 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2020 I have stayed in suites with Princess and the club class dining for suite guests makes my day. We show up to the dining room and are seated within minutes. The same wait staff and host greet you each day.

Lynnewob Posted August 27, 2020 #11 Share Posted August 27, 2020 For suites on the Grand, Club Class is the usual restaurant. You can use any restaurant, but Club Class is anytime dining, usually with no wait. Every evening, there is an special item on the menu which the waiters advise you of. Service is attentive as it is a very small area sectioned off the main restaurant (identified with grey tablecoth and napkins). We always eat late and never had to wait for a table and chose where we wanted to sit on most occasions (window or booth). We were escorted onto the ship in SF and brought into Club Class dining for lunch on embarkation day. Suite guests go to Crown Grill for breakfast where Mimosas are served (or neat for me as I don't like orange juice). I usually had a couple in the morning - a very nice start to the day 😁 You can attend the early evening discounted drinks every evening too with some nibbles, ie. cheese etc. This is available to suite guests and Platinum and Elite members of the loyalty club. I attach a photo of a small area Club Class dining.
Cruiserkenn Posted August 27, 2020 #12 Share Posted August 27, 2020 Also suite guests receive a complimentary dinner at one of the specialty restaurants on the first night. Crown Grill or Sabatini's. Nice!

jondfk Posted August 27, 2020 #14 Share Posted August 27, 2020 As reported, Club Class is deck six starboard side. The CC area on Grand is small compared to other Grand class ships but it works well (mostly). We've sailed on Grand multiple times and have generally enjoyed Club Class service. We also enjoy the suite breakfast in Crown Grill. Most ships use Sabatini's, we really prefer the "richer" feeling environment. You can basically order anything you like, if hey don't have something you want (avocado in my case) just ask and they'll be sure to have it on hand for all of the following mornings.

As for comped specialty dining we've had good success changing this from the first night with a polite request, I can't promise it will work for you, but we've literally never gone the first night and have always received our first specialty meal compliments of the host. Papa Yoda Posted August 27, 2020 #16 Share Posted August 27, 2020 That's good info! We have missed going to the DR first night to meet "the gang", but lately we've met them at embarkation lunch in Club Class.

OK, fair enough. I have always had it on my Alaska cruises and Hawaii cruises on the Grand. It is such a nice touch that I just had to mention it. I really like the red arrow showing the entrance to Club Class!

Crown Grill or Sabatini's. Nice! Only on cruises of 6 nights or longer. I have sailed on the 5 night cabo cruise and it's not included. There have been exceptions where we did get the card in our cabin with a dining invite and time for the first night so it's like everything else with Princess a MAYBE! I didn't get the 2 little bottles of wine that is stated in club class and asked where mine were since the brochure clearly states full suites get everything club class mini's get. When I was told that's just for club class I clearly stated what part of EVERYTHING is excluded and they gave me the 2 little bottles of wine. Bring the brochure with you if you want the wines. I think the previous excuse was that full suites did not get the wine because they get the free mini-bar setup that CC mini-suites do not get.
