tallnthensome Posted December 2, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2020 I’d probably avoid the theater and rooms with lots of people on board close together for the foreseeable future.
PelicanBill Posted December 2, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Yea, me too probably. If I even go before I get a vaccine and a general "all clear" to mingle again.
roger001 Posted December 2, 2020 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2020 There is so much uncertainty right now, I think this is still just wishful thinking. So much logistics needed to even get folks into and out of the theater, and it sounds like still a mask required cruise maybe. Come on vaccine!!!!!!! PelicanBill Posted December 2, 2020 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2020 I have no doubt masks will be required in public areas on a cruise until the CDC gives the all clear. I do appreciate the efforts cruise lines are going to, and publishing some of these details for us info hungry people!
Rare BirdTravels Posted December 3, 2020 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2020 Masks will be the new norm for a long time. Certainly all of the 2021 cruise season and beyond. So will social distancing. Keeping the cast in a bubble prior to embarkation is nothing new. That is what they are doing with the crew right now (quarantine them before testing them before allowing them to embark). It kinda messes with the timelines to install a new cast (some shows rotate the whole cast at once, some individual actors or acts,,, which will probably change). Guest performers use to sign contracts for as short as a week... that will probably change.... which will discourage some of the performers. Some used to board, preform, then fly home at the port after their last performance... again likely to change... discouraging some performers. MRVEGAS711 Posted December 18, 2020 #9 Share Posted December 18, 2020 I think I'll avoid being on a cruise ship until 2022 at the earliest. Unless its fun, why go.

I'm right there with you, having to wear a mask on board and social distance just doesn't sound like much fun. 2021 will be land vacations for me
HowardK Posted December 18, 2020 #11 Share Posted December 18, 2020 I wonder then will they not let people up on stage for example at Howl at The Moon? or play on the pianos ?

You can have a fun even in your own room as long as you have a balcony that is my view of this. Edited December 21, 2020 by Anas_
Seafan22 Posted December 21, 2020 #14 Share Posted December 21, 2020 With half the capacity in the theater, I would think they could just put the shows live on the in-room TVs. I realize that cuts into the ability to sell alcohol, but there isn't anything I can do about that.

For me it wouldn't even be worthwhile to watch a good quality stage show on those crappy cabin TV's. Another thing I'll pass on.

Rare DCGuy64 Posted December 22, 2020 #18 Share Posted December 22, 2020 I look forward to this, personally. I hate having people jammed into the theaters together and I'll ensure we make reservations as far ahead of time as possible. COVID restrictions have been great for me and my wife when it comes to seeing movies. There's no jostling for seats anymore. We might actually end up seeing MORE shows this way. Our definition does not include wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, etc,. Have fun but don't look for us. We won't be there.

HowardK Posted December 23, 2020 #25 Share Posted December 23, 2020 I'll wait it out until 2023 or 2024 then. Not much else I can do about it. I don't want to be paying for a product that doesn't offer the same experience I had in the past.
