We had the BEST M&G ever!  It was soooooooo wonderful to meet my CC sailing mates finally!  We have a really

fun and friendly group.

So happy to see you here again, and read your input!!  From what I've read, your wonderful M&G was due in a big part to you!  Maybe some time you could post a forum on how to plan a great M&G!  I would definitely follow!

Thank you again!!!  Happy cruising!

There’s still a noodles bar. I haven’t eaten there but I see the sign

The Chopsticks Noodle Bar used to offer two or three types, rotating days. Dan Dan noodles tend to be pretty spicy, in case you're sensitive to heat, but on the ship they're probably pretty tame. Also, if they haven't taken it away, is the Gong Cha Cafe for Boba drinks. I think there is a charge for them but if you haven't tried bubble tea it is refreshing. Thank you for your posts!

Gong Sha is gone, sadly. It’s instead a rather generic Princess Live Cafe/Bar with a couple plain tea selections, along with coffees. I’m disappointed, but in all reality there is too much else to eat and drink onboard.

New Question!!  For those who like to dance (or anyone else for that matter)

What are the dance opportunities?  Venues?  Dance music types? Times?  Etc.

Thanks,  Bruce

The only dancing I know of was a few couples dancing to the small band in the Piazza. Official dancing is gone for now, just like karaoke, as a Covid casualty.

I saw in another board that Boba/bubble teas could be found elsewhere on the ship. Any idea if they show up in the app as an orderable item?

For anyone struggling with getting joined to the wifi and getting internet, I’ve got a trick for you. Join the MedallionNet wifi like usual:

Then open a browser and go to majestic.princess.com. You can access a better list of the activities than the app - more like a printed Patter. There are buttons at the bottom there to chat with your party on board, view lots of on board info, and more importantly a shortcut to Get Online.

I am still confused.  If that area by the casino (used to be Club 6 on Royal, etc.) is now the Vista Lounge, what is original Vista Lounge now?  There are two Vista Lounges on this ship?  And no Crooners, okay, but the beauty of Crooners was its location overlooking the atrium.  Is there no bar now that meets that criterion?  I have seen several versions of deck plans for this ship, and none of them agree with each other.

I highly suggest looking at the deck plans for the ship. https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=MJ

@HaveDogWillTravel so very happy to see you back on your thread.  Thank you very much for all your hard work in organizing your Meet and Greet and getting this off the ground.  I do hope someday I will run across you on one of my travels.  You are an amazing.

And to the rest of the current passengers, a big shout out for taking time during your cruise to keep us all informed.

I speak for myself, but know that many feel the same, it's been a long time since we cruised.  Going along with all of you has been so refreshing.

I believe that's mentioned in the frequently asked questions on the princess site that unfortunately due to covid they will not be doing those tours behind the scenes

Thank you.

Oh, that's disappointing news. Between the removal of Gong Sha and the Americanization of Harmony menu (the original menu looked wonderful but now I doubt I'll make a reservation there), Majestic has lost some of its appeal to me. Granted, boba is readily available around here so I'm hardly deprived, but the thought of sipping a milk tea while watching glaciers was delightful. Oh well, a latte will do.

Thanks to all who are keeping us up to date on this sailing! I'm on the September 5 one and have been following this thread avidly.

In Juneau today:

Princess Cruises made history when the cruise line introduced its revolutionary shore power program and began operations in partnership with the City and Borough of Juneau and Alaska Electric Light and Power Company in the summer of 2001. Now, 20 years later when Princess Cruises vessels arrive at the Franklin Dock, ships continue to "plug in" to local surplus hydroelectric power and turn off the diesel engines, reducing the impact of visible air emissions and the cruise line's carbon footprint in an effort applauded by local government officials and the residents of the capital city.

The 20th anniversary milestone was recognized as Majestic Princess made her maiden call to the port of Juneau and commissioned to connect to the Juneau electrical grid. Princess Cruises President Jan Swartz, Majestic Princess Captain Dino Sagani, Alaska Electric Light and Power Company President and General Manager Connie Hulbert and Juneau Mayor Beth Weldon and City Manager Rorie Watt were in attendance.

Why look there?

It still shows "VIP Gaming" for the lounge next to the casino and we know it is no longer "VIP Gaming.".

Hence my confusion.  Princess really needs to update the deck plans on their site.

Just wondering if the Noodle Bar on Lido Deck has been replaced with a "Pizza by the Slice" station? Love having pizza there several times during a cruise.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

No replacement .. it is still the noodle bar.

I don’t see the nightly Sorbet.  Please tell me that it’s there and I just missed it. I look forward to the Sorbet each and every night.  Thank you for sharing!
