Darn, that means when we get home late tomorrow, I will have to order and then drive to pick up a pizza, such a first world problem, lol😁 1

You really have done a great job of reporting how well Celebrity is handling the return to cruising.

Rare terrydtx Posted September 4, 2021 #454 Share Posted September 4, 2021 Last night was the second Evening Chic night and the food and service in Luminae was so excellent. I had the Surf and Surf, delicious seared scallops and a surprisingly good lobster tail. This is the first time I can honestly say the lobster was worth eating on a cruise ship. This was basically two entrees, and either one can be ordered with a steak (not on menu) for surf and turf. The highlight was desert. We dinned with another couple and they asked Nic our waiter, if the Chef could go do a Grand Mariner soufflé for us, again not on the menu, and all 4 of us enjoyed this delicious desert. It was much better than the one we had earlier in the week at Murano. This is the kind of service you get in Luminae.
Rare WNcruiser Posted September 4, 2021 #455 Share Posted September 4, 2021 (edited) Terry thanks for spending so much of your time posting live. We really enjoyed your reviews and photos of the wines you tried. This will be very helpful for our Apex cruise when we are in the retreat. We look forward to trying several new wines. No. They need to be there so I can take ours home with us in October. Seriously, thank you so much for doing this. We're now under a month out from our grand adventure (5 days in New York before the cruise), and getting so excited. 2

Not all that much to carry to have a familiar touch in the shower every day. When I used to travel to Japan, where the towels are often only just larger than a postage stamp, I'd fold up a bath sheet from home as well. Then again, they didn't much care about luggage weight back then, either. So we won't be too fussed about anything we find waiting for us in the shower. Sorry to be jumping in on your conversation. I have been following since we are on the Equinox 11/7. Your comment reminds me of my DH. He is a pilot and spends a lot of nights in hotels. He actually travels with a large wrench and a shower head (sans water restrictor) in his suitcase. The first and last thing he does at his hotel is replace the showerhead. He actually debated about trying it on a cruise once and I put my foot down assuming that everyone on our deck would have meager water pressure. 3

fstuff1 Posted September 4, 2021 #460 Share Posted September 4, 2021 (edited) More info about the first set of infected passengers that got off at curacao: They has close contact with a few casino employees and a bartender at craft social bar (Which is next to the casino). Those crew are quarantined for 7 days, which ends tomorrow. 😮 Edited September 4, 2021 by fstuff1
goofysmom99 Posted September 4, 2021 #461 Share Posted September 4, 2021 Those of us who were quarantined just completed our 3rd and final, I hope, swab. Wearing a mask hasn't been much of an inconvenience, but I'm bringing a box of disposables for next cruise in ~2 weeks, just in case. I don't really want to wash the ones I have with bar soap. Ordered one with sequins for chic night from etsy today, too. 😎 If I have to wear one, I want it to be a fashion statement. 5

fstuff1 Posted September 4, 2021 #463 Share Posted September 4, 2021 At tuscan. Ordered both the ribeye and the filet mignon. The ribeye was not fork tender But the filet was almost. Ribeye tasted better

I had this practice even when in hotels; I even wear flip flops in the showers. I used to live and work in Skid Row Missions, so these precautions were necessary. When I did my first cruise aboard Equinox, my habits did not change: my own soap, shampoo, and flip flops. Though when I got home, I kept the little soap bars (actually discs), and try them out day, and they weren't that bad.
