He was there on our Christmas cruise

Yes Igor was on when we were on our three back to backs cruises in November and when we returned for Christmas/New Years. At first Igor is nothing but business making your order but he warmed up and is a super guy and very interesting....loving his family that are all in Ukraine.  My husband thinks he was suppose to get off March.  We were just hoping the best for him and his family.

The same for Valentina and at the time we were on most of the Azamra band was from Ukraine.

Thanks for any info on Igor from someone currently on the Quest.

You are right. Vlad the delightful young trumpeter was certainly from Ukraine. They are all of an age if they are home to be called up and currently prohibited from leaving the country

Ah, wouldn’t see that then. Thanks

I don't know what the "look book" page is and I don't seem to have it, however, the video is back where I first saw it, then couldn't find it on the regular Azamara Reminiscing thread.

Is Igor the main tall barista still in the Mosaic Cafe?  He is from Ukraine.  We been thinking of him and his family. Thank you for any information.

I’m onboard and asked in Mosaic Cafe. He apparently went home to Ukraine a couple cruises ago.  The barista said they have been in touch and he thought Igor and family are trying to get to safety in Poland.

Thank you so much for asking about Igor.  Really appreciate it.  Cant believe one day he is making our coffee and now he is trying to flee with his family to Poland.  Praying for all of them.  So very sad.

Can't get an answer.  Apparently a state of flux.  Ngawhira was on before Ryszard, but no one seems to know who's next.

Glad to hear that Ryzard will still be aboard when we sail on Sunday. Do you know the passenger count for the next cruise?

A few random thoughts:

We entered the embarkation terminal at 12:30 and there were at least 25 people already waiting inside.  Boarded at 2.  Rapid test takes 20 minutes.  Boxes with fruit, cookies, etc., available.  Escorted directly to muster station for a video describing the drill.  Then escorted to stateroom.

Crew still masked.  Optional for passengers.  St. Lucia and Dominica requiring bubble excursions.  Most (all?) islands requiring masks indoors, some sprayed hands everyplace, some took temperatures.

We will be escorted to tables tonight at White Night and tables will be called to buffet by color code.  Asking we wear masks while choosing food from the White Night buffet.

Hoping to find out this afternoon passenger load for March 6.

Fruhschoppen in The Patio at lunch today...and we're doing a culinary excursion.🤔  Not the best planning by us.

Fruhschoppen is one of my favourites.

A question re the band that is such a part of it - are the Ukranian guys (Vlad, Dennis etc) still on board with the band.  Really hope so though it must be a worry for them about their families back home

Windows open tonight for the Indian dinner...from a menu, not buffet.

My husband loves the Indian dinner on Azamara and is so happy to hear this. (I can't eat most Indian food, so I'm sure they can throw together a fruit plate.) And then, of course, there's dessert.

I don’t usually go for it, but I could have sworn I saw some in Dec.

Maybe it was in Windows at lunch time near salad bar?

Anyone else remember seeing it?

Windows served a Japanese dinner on a menu not from the buffet like they offered the Indian dinner. It was very good.

They brought me Indian dishes at Prime C last night. Very enjoyable.
