The ship has about 2,900 passengers on this cruise. It's considerably under capacity.

Our Bermuda cruise was changed to Bahamas three years ago and we didn't know until a few hours after we boarded.

No OBC, just a refund of the difference in port charges.

No surprise.   It's all in the cruise contract.

Thats why Carnival loves you. I jumped ship to celebrity for much less. If my wife had not of chosen a cuba cruise on carnival i would not still have my money tied up with them.

I do like non-smoking casinos on Celebrity. But their ticket contract looks much the same as Carnival's. No port is guaranteed

Hello, my daughter is scheduled to go on Panorama Saturday and wondered if anyone knew if the Covid outbreak on the current sailing will affect the next? Appreciate any info.

Nobody knows, but it really shouldn't. Any passengers with COVID won't be on the next cruise and any crew will be in quarantine away from anyone else.

I doubt it will affect the next cruise, currently there are over 20 ships under investigation by the CDC for Covid cases, including the Panorama. I have been monitoring the CDC website for a month or so and there are always several ships in the yellow category and I don’t think any of them have been pulled from service. It changes every day as ships move in and out of the categories, the Panorama has been green with no cases until yesterday but it was bound to happen eventually.

Here is the link to the CDC Cruise Ship Status, I check it every day.:

I am also on the Panorama, and am perfectly happy with the $50. Im still healthy and on a cruise ship, so I still consider my glass half full.

It was stated there were a few positive cases, we have no idea number, or if passengers or crew.
The Mexican authorities said we would have to test all individuals before going ashore, that’s not really feasible being a tender port and a shortened visit.

I just went to the casino with my $25 free play (I don’t gamble, and had no clue what I was doing), but cashed out at $38, so happy with more free money. 😉

Maybe now that they see you gambled on the cruise you may get a casino offer for a future trip.

Good luck!

For those on Panorama this week, do you feel it is warm on board? Sometimes when the boarding port is cold, they turn the heat on and don’t adjust it. I am boarding next week and am at a list of how to pack.

I have found it comfortable. No noticeable difference. I brought a couple of zip up hoodies, and wore those a couple of days, and I usually run on the warmer side. I’m going down to San Diego for a week after, and did pack some clothes for cooler temps, so I was prepared for anything.

Bad weather has cancelled many port dockings over my 30 years of cruising.  The captain of the ship has the final decision.

It has nothing to do with the weather.

My wife and I are currently onboard the Panorama. This morning, the ship's status went to Yellow, and the port of Cabo San Lucas denied the ship permission to debark. Carnival is refunding everyone's Cabo excursions and giving out a puny $50 OBC per cabin. Should my wife and I ask for more, given that 1/3 of our ports just got canceled, or are we hosed?

They don't have to give you anything so you should feel grateful for the $50 OBC instead of being so derisive.

$50 a cabin is 25 per person. imagine a cabin of four people that’s 12.50 per person. lol enough for one drink.

I was on a six day cruise right before COVID hit and because of weather we could only go to Charleston which wasn’t even one of the original ports. Every passenger got 100% future cruise credit. So I guess it really depends on the individual cruise specifics.

We were on the Conquest this weekend, now sure of the occupancy rate, but it seemed about 80%. The bars, buffet(self serve) and casino were packed.

While Carnival, as with most other cruise lines, doesn't have to pay anything, it has become common practice and good public relations, to make a nice gesture. If some think $50 OBC is fine, well and good.

We did an NCL cruise a few years ago, we were supposed to overnite in Aruba, but because of two separate circumstances, we never made it to Aruba. NCL gave every passenger a 25% credit for a future cruise, and it was much appreciated by most.

Cheers
