I’m just adding my thanks to this thread. It has been wonderful to read about all your adventures. Enjoy your time here🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and I’m sorry that the forecast isn’t great this week. I know you will both make the best of it regardless. To quote the great Billy Connolly, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes!”😉

I’m looking forward to reading the reviews of  your next cruise and seeing if more folks can get your husband’s name right.😂

It’s Jim and  IAIN... not LAIN.

It seems redundant to add my own appreciation to your thread, but I will anyway knowing all the effort it can take to continue to post and share. What makes reading about your adventures so wonderful is the obvious enjoyment you are experiencing even through challenging circumstances that could easily steal joy. It’s such an enjoyable read and has been an engaging mental and emotional break in my day for a while. I agree with PPs in the missing this part of my day. I hope you have a fabulous visit with your family and safe travels home.

Jim, thanks so much for another enjoyable, informative "Live from"!  Your narrative and photos take us along on your various cruises.  So sorry you got the 'bug', but, as usual, you've made lemonade out of the lemons tossed your way.

Stay safe, and safe travels home!

Jim and Iain,

As everyone has said - I'm sending an immense THANK YOU for including us all in your adventure!  I'm very sad to not have this thread to look forward to everyday...like when you finish a book and you really miss the characters afterwards!  Cheers!  And safe travels home!

You guys have me with a tear in my eye.  All of you have become so much a part of my life and I feel the accolades are undeserved.   We really appreciate all the kind words.  Each of you were so much a part of the journey.

I couldn’t resist posting some pictures and really recommend anyone visiting Glasgow to visit Pollok House Park and the Burrell Collection Museum.  The grounds have beautiful gardens, paths and animals. 03D1D232-959A-4107-B6ED-110CBB3B49CF.thumb.jpeg.0122204bc05a5d1428a80e21577eb841.jpeg

I can't imagine something from American test Kitchen not being fantastic.   Iain's Aunt was a professional Cook and she could really make fantastic Scones, Short Bread and Puff Pastry to perfection.

She often would say  -  Cold Hands makes warm hearts"

On the topic of scones, whilst in Scotland will you have any “tatty” scones?

So glad to pop on here this morning and see a new post from you and more beautiful pics. Glad you and Iain are having a wonderful time exploring and the obviously gorgeous weather doesn’t hurt eh? The beautiful blue sky really makes the scenery colours more vivid!

Great photos. Looks like they did a great job refurbishing the Burrell Collection. You are lucky as it’s just recently opened again after a long closure. You have just provided me with an idea for my plans this weekend. Thanks! 😀 So glad you are getting a bit of sunshine in between the showers.

Yes the Burrell Collection had just re-opend and was pretty busy for was a weekday.   I was amazed at how eclectic a collection and the curators have created many interactive exhibits.   I was surprised that it to free.

Today we went to Culzean Castle.    We have been many times before but today were just hiking on the grounds.   So how we lucked out with another sunny day.   Incredible walking trails and all the spring wildflowers, Rhododendrons and Tulips are in bloom.

Really worth a visit

I'll have to have Iain and family get me some.   I had to google on them,   They look like an Irish Boxty . but Iain says they are nothing like a tatty scone.

These sunny days are God's way of rewarding you for your patience and humor in dealing with all those 'lemons' he threw at you.  See, He had faith in you!

Now you have me with a tear in my eye on the other side of the world. I was born in Glasgow dear old Glasgow town. You can take the girl from Glasgow but you can't take Glasgow from the girl.

Before my family emigrated to Australia, we would always have ‘tatty scones.  Just to give the old heart an extra workout my aunt would fry them in oil and then smear them in butter.  I recently made some for my family....neither my husband nor sons were a fan.  Maybe it’s a Scottish thing?
