So our journey started by getting on the Ohio Turnpike and heading to Cleveland. As always they have “Blue light specials”. 

 

Then we arrived at our park and fly. And guess what.  There is a considerable safety alert. 

And now time to hydrate and eat junk food. 

 

Long Island ice teas.

We have 3 bathrooms 

he does not need all 3. 
Left guest room on.

Hey Sue!  Have a great time.  The last time I was on Allure was over New Years and had a great time.  Allure is my favorite Oasis class ship. Hopefully Amy and I will sail with you again some time in the future.

Us, after a relaxing afternoon at the pool and hot tub, we headed out for the evening 

 

Supper at The Field Irish Pub and Eatery.  For starters, a Black and stormy ( made with Black Jamaican Rum)

 

They have a nice old Banyan tree here. 
 

 

Bangers and mash, because you have to get in overeating mode for the cruise. 
 

 

And Irish cabbage rolls for Susan.

Yay for this review to follow!  I am here for it all.  Also, I love Max and Erma's and wish they were still operating here in Michigan.  When I was in college at Ohio Wesleyan in the early 80's we would drive down to Columbus and eat at their restaurant off of Kenny Rd.  This is back when they had telephones on the tables that you could use to call other tables.  So much fun!

shut off outside water

stop mail and newspaper 

let neighbors know we will be away

make notes for house sitter. 

load suitcases in car.( When time)

get money and divide

get travel documents 

take trash to curb.

do make up

select clothes to wear to Cleveland. 
 

But most importantly nag DH when it is taking him way to much time to get ready. 
 

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Just was updated by our DD and SIL. They were vacation Anchorage Alaska  and on their way home. The military was doing maneuvers in Alaska and delayed their flight. Missed there connecting flight. Now there unexpectedly spending the night at Chicago ohare  airport. Trying to get something to fly home tomorrow. 
 

Frustrating. 
 

But they had the time of there life. 
 

Hoping it is an easy solution.

DD let us know American Airlines comped them a free night at Embassy suites and meal vouchers. They have a new flight at 3 pm.

following along since well I cruise Symphony in just 3 short weeks, and I can't wait.... love Oasis class ships and this will be the 1st on Symphony!!!

Well, praying for a safe journey. 
 

Got to airport at 5;40. 
Premiere checkin and sitting down past pre check TSA drinking coffee at 5:47am. Thank God we had approved pre check. 
 

Flight supposed to be on time. 
Non stop United. 
 

The regular TSA line triple wrapped throughout whole concourse. The attendant directing traffic for this line said minimum one hour wait. actually for a moment Those in that line reminded me of being in Disney  and not having a fast pass for Star Wars

Sue...are you a blonde?  This made me think of my favorite blond joke (hopefully no offense to any blondes out there):

 

A plane is on its way to Ft. Lauderdale when a blonde in Economy Class gets up and moves to the First Class section and sits down. The flight attendant watches her do this and asks to see her ticket. She then tells the blonde that she paid for Economy and that she will have to sit in the back. The blonde replies, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Ft. Lauderdale and I'm staying right here." The flight attendant goes into the cockpit and tells the pilot and co-pilot that there is some blonde bimbo sitting in First Class that belongs in Economy and won't move back to her seat. The co-pilot goes back to the blonde and tries to explain that because she only paid for Economy she will have to leave and return to her seat. The blonde replies, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Ft. Lauderdale and I'm staying right here." The co-pilot tells the pilot that he probably should have the police waiting when they land to arrest this blonde woman that won't listen to reason. The pilot says, "I'll handle this. I'm married to a blonde. I have learned to speak 'blonde." He goes back to the blonde, whispers in her ear, and without question she gets up and moves back to her seat in the Economy section. The flight attendant and co-pilot are amazed and asked him what he said to make her move without any fuss. "I told her First Class isn't going to Ft. Lauderdale."

Well we must have had astronaut Allen as our pilot. We landed 30 min ahead of schedule.  
 

After some bothersome turbulence I had to hold my DH hand, he was scared (😜) we are safely landed and waiting for our gate to clear. That’s what you get being on a supersonic flight.
