Over 1500 people on line in promenade. We are still experiencing covid. No attempt at social distancing. So poorly organized. The first tender ticket distribution was at 5pm. The line went from one end of the ship to the other then doubled back. Not worth the wait. I returned for the second distribution at 7:30, no line, no wait. Received ticket # 5. I heard tickets were not accessible via diamond lounge, I did not ask for them. The ride took 12 minutess. Waited 15 minutes on the tender after boarding before departing. Estimate 10-15 minutes waiting on the ship before allowed to proceed to the tender.. Allow 45 minutes from time called to board the tender until actually on Bar Harbor.

Priority tendering is a benefit/perk we wish RCs C&A would add for diamond and above. Priority tendering is one of the benefits/perks Celebrity's Captains Club offers for being elite and above. No waiting to get tender tickets. Meet up with the CC host at a scheduled time and place and you are escorted to the tender and first ones on the tender. Meet up with the CC host at a scheduled time and place and you are escorted to the tender and first ones on the tender. Whilst I agree that would be nice we have never had a problem just getting tickets from one of the concierges since being diamond. I do recall years ago sitting in one of the small theaters waiting for ticket distribution snd people beginning to congregate way before the allotted time. However, given the number of Diamond and above on the recent Adventure repositioning cruise (and on many cruises these days) I am not sure that meeting up with the host would have solved the problem in this particular port since tender facilities were limited. Also it is difficult to know where to stop with priority - ship tours, independent tours, C&A status, Key guests - you can’t give everyone priority and how many people actually NEED to be on the first tender? Generally we are quite happy with a later ticket. It might be easier these days, and reduce big groups of people congregating, if a request was completed online ( by scanning a code) a couple of days in advance, to request a time slot and tickets distributed similar to bag tag distribution. Rare rafinmd Posted May 31, 2022 Author #136 Share Posted May 31, 2022 Day 10 Monday, May 30, 2022, Final sea day, Adventure of the Seas I was up about 4:30. When I went on deck the skies were brightening up but it was a very windy and chilly day. I was treated to a beautiful sunrise off the back of the ship but then retreated to inside corridors for the remainder of my morning walk. https://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2022/05/dawn0530.jpg I’m not sure where the day went other than packing. As soon as Sugi finished making up my room I pulled out the big bag and experimented to get the heaviest stuff possible into it. In his final noon update of the voyage Captain Jared indicated our nearest land was Nantucket, 120 miles away. We were pretty close to the midpoint of our return with 288 miles since Halifax and 287 miles to go. High temperature today will be 59 and 88 tomorrow in New Jersey. We pick up the pilot at 5AM and sunrise will be 5:30. My final lunch on board was kept simple, bread, fries, and jello. https://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2022/05/lastlunch.jpg There was a 12:30 Memorial Day service on the Royal Promenade. There was a medley of service hymns by the orchestra, opening remarks by Tanya, and then the playing of Taps and a minute of silence. Tanya read “In Flanders Fields”, another medley of patriotic songs, and closed with Tanya singing “Hallelujah”. There was a very large gathering; I watched from deck 6 by the forward elevators. https://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2022/05/memorial.jpg Packing continued through the afternoon. I finally sealed up the monster about 5:30 and started chipping away at the rolloff bag. We had the usual 5 at table 422. It seems a bit ironic that while the others are primarily Royal Caribbean cruisers and cruise often I am the only one that’s Diamond+ . Love those double points for solos. My final choices were garden salad, roast turkey, and Apple Blossom Tart A la Mode. At the end of the meal we had the traditional farewell from the dining staff and said out sad goodbyes. https://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2022/05/dishes30.jpg The monster went out to the hallway about 7:20. https://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2022/05/monsterout.jpg Adventure is almost heading into the sun. It is just enough to the starboard side that after watching the events unfold on the bridge camera I was able to step out on my balcony to capture the actual event. https://getawaysfrom21044.files.wordpress.com/2022/05/dusk0530.jpg After one final cookie run to the WJ I think I am about done for the evening. As a parting shot I hope everyone (at least in the US) had a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. I do wonder a bit about my brother. While his death last year was not immediately a result of his service he (well over 6' tall) spent several years crawling through tight hatches and low ceilings on a nuclear submarine. His actual death was the result of a blood clot following surgery for a very sore back. I see the possibility of a chain of events starting with those tight spaces to back problems to complications of back surgery. Makes me wonder. While our waiter is a nice person, food typically served cold. That is the hot food. Soup watery. Bread the best part of the meal. At buffet, one person making omelettes. They gave me a buzzer to wait for my omelette! Overall a disappointing crowded cruise. Will take a covid test at home

I have done Bar Harbor several times but still want to get off and not sure how I feel about where ship now had to anchor and out of view. Too bad town thinks a ship in harbor is ugly but they want the dollars from its passengers

You should get double points for solo and another double points for the double points promotion. We got our double points from our Anthem cruise a few weeks ago. Thank you for a very interesting and informative live from review plus some great photos. Pleased to hear you are safely home now. Graham.
