I tend to agree with you, except that the #$%^%$ Movies Under The Stars, which now runs with concert footage throughout the day,  with blaring distorted sound, seriously interferes with my ability to lounge by the pool in peace.

Princess Prizes is part of Princess Premium, or you may add it by itself for $20 per day.

Here are the official rules:

https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/princess-prizes-terms-and-conditions/

a) I note that it says the game ends 12/31/22. Unless they extend it, people who purchased the Premier package for a cruise next year will not get this "benefit."

b) As I remember it, when this was first announced they said that passengers who did not have the Premier package and had not purchased entry into the game would still receive one free entry. I do not see this mentioned in the rules.

I think it has something to do with the fact that lotteries cannot remain open ended. I suspect you will find it will be renewed for 2023 with and end date of 31/12/2023.

That's not an international rule...what are the rules for lotteries in the country in which the ship is registered...that's the question. I think.

Wow, exciting for that couple! Yes, it does suck for everyone else to see the same people win over and over. I’d like to think it was simply crazy luck or minimal competition. Personally, I love contests and so am excited about this program.

Ditto!

But that's crazy because you stand in front of your cabin and do that 100 times

I will be on an Alaska cruise with a large aft penthouse suite that I plan on spending considerable time in it so I may get some exercise getting up to open and close my door.

I may be able to pay for my cruise by having people pay me to open and close their doors for them while they are eating or in the Sanctuary or Princess Theater.  😄

That's a great idea although you may have a hard time convincing them to give you their medallion

So you need to open and close your door to increase your chances of winning a prize?

Actually, it's a little more involved than that.

Everything revolves around the door panel which unlocks the door when you approach with your medallion. This will slow things down considerably.

Keeping the Medallion in a Farady cage keeps the Medallion from being read unless held to the wall panel. This makes repeated entries fairly quick, just time for the door to cycle. Personally, I wouldn't bother to do this, so I don't care to mention it, but keeping the Medallion in a metal mesh teaball or some such, does the trick. Wish anyone good luck.

We have already won $250 and have 3 entries so far for the final draw. Still have 5 nights of our cruise left, so maybe more to follow.

I’m curious, How many times did you have to open your door?

We have only opened as normal when returning to the room. Maybe 3 or 4 times a day, but you only play when the ship is sailing. Today we are in Port, so won’t get a chance until after dinner tonight.

Thanks. Are there other ways to enter? I thought I read something about “taking a spin” in the casino? Congrats on your wins BTW! 🥳

Princess Prizes is linked to the Casino. Door entries are only recorded, if the. Casino is open, so not while in port or hours when the Casino is closed This detail was not explained clearly when Princess Prizes was introduced.

Well that is very interesting.  So the casino wants people to be at their cabin door recording entries instead of playing in the casino when they are open?  Another promo they didn't quite think all the way through.
