Patti's pictures bring back old memories of the 2 times we sailed the Legend out of Tampa!  Thanks so much!

That's the effect we are looking for. Glad it brings back good memories! :classic_laugh:

All caught up it looking forward to more.

Thanks so much! I'm sure many more will jump in during the three weeks or so it usually takes me to cover B2B cruises. The more the merrier! :classic_biggrin:

Patti continues to head forward on Deck 3 until she reaches the Pixels Gallery mid ship. If you are diamond or platinum, this is where you come to pick up your gifts…..

It is so sad that the chapel is gone. I understand from a business perspective, just sentimental because I got married in that chapel!

Next, we went up to our cabin (5120) on Deck 5 to drop off our carry on bags. The door was open, the Sail & Sign cards weren’t there, and the cabin wasn’t quite ready, so we put our bags in the closet and left a note for the room steward.

Good move on your part to leave a note.  My friend once left his carryon in the cabin before cabins were officially available. The steward showed up and took the bag to be taken off the ship thinking it belonged to the previous passengers.  Luckily, we showed up in time for the room steward to retrieve it.  🤦🏼‍♀️

Of course we remember you. We'll never forget that cruise! Glad to see you back on CC and glad you have plans to cruise on the Legend soon. That Best Western is our go to place when staying in Baltimore. We used the shuttle service one time, but prefer to just park at the port. Using the shuttle means adding another hour and a half or more to our return home. :classic_cool:

That makes sense.  It's still a good place to stay even without the shuttle.

Thank you so much for this!  Loving the pictures, Miss Patti!  Looking forward to sailing on Legend now even more than I was before - so much like my good ole Pride!  My family will be stepping onto a ship on which we've never sailed, but feel at home, and instantly know our way around everywhere!  Man, I love Spirit Class!😁

ETA:  I'll probably enjoy Legend even more than Pride, since Legend doesn't have the big, loud movie screen on Lido.  So glad about that!

I'm glad someone appreciates not having the screen - I usually see complaints about it.  We enjoyed outdoor movies on our very first cruise, but ever since I don't think we have watched outside so it doesn't bother me to not have it.

Wise choice my friend. I find myself biting my tongue more often these days! :classic_biggrin:

I'm trying to lean from the wise example of you two. 😉

Two questions about the Legend:

1. Do 4K interiors have refrigerator/coolers?  We recently sailed in our first interior on Enchantment of the Seas and were disappointed to find only balconies had coolers.  It's not a deal breaker, but nice to know and be prepared.

2. Does the casino offer free play?  We have just started dipping our toes in the casino a little and didn't know if Carnival does anything similar to Royal.

Thanks!

We'll always leave a note if the cabin is not yet done when we drop off, for the very reason you outlined. :classic_cool:

1. Yes, the 4K interiors have a mini fridge.

2. As far as I know, you can get free play if you book with a casino rate that includes it. As of now, diamonds and platinums get $25 in free play instead of the BOGO slot or blackjack tournament entries until they begin having them again. I would rather get the free play myself. On some ships they just give you the cash. The Legend is one of them.

Patti comes back to the cabin and we hang out until it’s almost time for sail away. We decide that we’ll watch the sail away from Serenity, all the way aft on Deck 9.

IMG_4470-X2.jpg

We’ll be heading out that way…….

IMG_4471-X2.jpg

So, I go to Serenity Bar to get us some drinks, but my card isn’t working. I had been using my boarding pass most of the afternoon, and this was the first time I used my card. A quick trip down to Guest Services and the problem was solved. It was some type of glitch which they were able to fix quickly. I made it back to Serenity before we sailed at 5:15 pm…..

At this point Patti said she was tired and would be heading back to the cabin to read. But first she checked out the Enchanted Forest all the way forward on Deck 3….

I went to the casino and played blackjack for a couple of hours, and even though I lost a little bit, I had a great time. My fellow players, the pit bosses, and the dealers were a lot of fun. On the way out I picked up my $25 in free play, which they gave to me in cash. Sweet! I then went to the Sports Bar for a couple of double rum and colas before calling it a night. It was great to be out to sea again!

Coming up next: a fun day at sea!

So great to have another Jamman review to follow! We were on Legend in July for the second time. First time on her was back in 2009. They have certainly taken good care of her over the years! 🙂We spent a lot of time in the RFP listening to Alter Jam. I really enjoyed that band. they were good enough to keep me out of the casino for part of the evening each night (which is tough to do!)

I have not sailed the Canada itinerary in over 20 years. I remember it was a great cruise. It had to be because it was our first cruise and we were hooked after that! 🙂  I also remember the foghorn going off every 5-10 minutes overnight once we were up in Canada and of course I was on deck 10 aft (on Victory). Not much sleeping on those nights lol!! I always wondered if that was common for that itinerary.

Thanks to you and Patty for taking us along once again!

We did 7 Canada cruises with Carnival, the last was in 2012 (although we did a Cunard sailing on QM2 in 2019 that went to Corner Brook and Halifax).  Like you, our first cruise was a Canada cruise on Victory and got us hooked. The fog is very common on these sailings - I remember one time arriving in Halifax and the fog was so thick we didn't know we were docking until we felt the ship's  thrusters.

Thanks so much for reading. We're glad to have you aboard. This Canada cruise we only had the foghorn for only about 10 minutes when we were approaching Saint John. 😎

Wow. Just Wow! Jeff, this presentation you & Patti did, was beyond incredible!! Your  narrative, Patti's picture composing was truly worthy of the best travel magazine. And I mean it! Thanks. Job well done! 👍

Thanks so much for your kind words Joe! For us it is a labor of love which we enjoy so much. We really appreciate it. 😎

My husband and I took our very first cruise to Saint John in 2012 with Carnival.  And we can join the crowd in being hooked 🙂

On our sailing last month we had a lot of fog in Saint John - enough to delay docking.
