Morning Les,    Wondering how you fared with your Specialist.  Only answer if you wish, of course.  Thinking of you and hope you’re receiving some positive treatment, and feeling a lot better.

Thanks for asking Linda, I will give yall a progress report, in brief. Don't want to dwell on it.

I am still a bit down and in a bit of pain. Saw a visiting specialist at Moruya yesterday who is urology and renal. Had the telescopic camera inserted etc. Not pleasant. I am booked into Macquarie University Private Hospital (North Ryde) for a couple of days on 1 December for some surgeries which I prefer not to describe.  The specialist only treats private patients at Macquarie Uni Hospital as he has the robotic set up there for the BIG dollars.

So I am battling on, but to me not a lot of light at the end of the tunnel.  Thanks for your concerns.

By the way I did get my Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Card approved yesterday, will be in the mail next week, at least I can get the cheaper 'stay alive pills then.'

No cruises planned, not even the Sydney Harbour Ferries, lol.

Sending the strongest possible wishes for your upcoming surgery and recovery.  Macquarie has an excellent reputation, and robotic is far less invasive. Hope your present discomfort eases pronto. Hope we can catch up again in the new year.  I’ll even share a pineapple pizza with you🫣

Pleased to hear you got your Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Card approved which will reduce your prescription bills.  I hope your surgeries at Macquarie University Private Hospital on 1st December are successful.  Take extra good care of yourself.

Hang in there Les.

I know what you mean about the camera, I've had that not so pleasant experience - "razor blades" comes to mind. I have dodgy kidneys. The right one has had a cyst for a few years but it's been slow growing. Last ultra sound two years ago detected another has developed on the left side. I'm due for another check up soon, possibly overdue.  I'll have to check with my GP next week.

Sorry, you are still in pain and feeling down Les. Hopefully your surgery goes well. Good to read you had your CHCC approved.  That will save you plenty of $s.

Sorry to hear that Uncle Les - hopefully the surgeries can help. We are all hoping for the best. If you need to be in Canberra for anything and need help, let me know.

Just been in another war, could not breathe end of last week, so went to hospital, got Pulmonary Oedema.  Ended up in Batemans Bay Hospital, then Moruya Hospital, out this morning after 3 days.  They took 6 litres of fluid out of me.  Feel a bit better now.  Does it never end?😬

Strewth mate, that's not good news. Take care and hope you get better soon. Cheers, Neil & Tracey

You've certainly been in the wars lately, Les.  I know we're all so grateful you keep us in the loop.  Fortunately you've had prompt medical attention, and I'm guessing diuretics now?  My aunt had similar episodes, but lived a long time after.  We're sending healing wishes for recovery, and the strength to cope with these setbacks.  We know you're made of extraordinary courage and resolve.  Hang in there.

I had an elderly friend who used to have fluid drained from her lungs because of Pulmonary Oedema.  She used to feel much better afterwards, so I hope you continue to feel much better.

Thanks to all. Reason why I got the odema is because my GP took me off duretics because of my kidney damage. Now the hospital doc has put me back on duretics..Frusemide.  So confusing. I see my GP tomorrow, then there will  be more dramas re the above.  I was on oxygen in the ambulance, felt as crook as Rookwood.

Help…I need a 🚢.
