Just an update:

 

The Signature Collection has disappeared from my D0-aft booking.

Still cannot book any dining reservations in SUN bookings.

 

Nothing in my paperwork says enjoy Signature Upgrades & Benefits.

I was thinking that, with all of the confusion and IT problems, especially regarding the new Sun Princess, that those unexpected 'Signature' statements would 'disappear'.

Would be nice to be 'Signature'!!!  But, def. above our pay-grade!

Dining has FINALLY opened up on the app for Sun Princess - at least for the first two cruises!

 

 

- The Catch by Rudi is $39 and a pop-up

- Butchers Block is $49 and a pop-up

- Kai Sushi is $39 - thought this was casual dining but apparently not on Sun!

- Crown Grill is $39

- Sabatini's is $35

- we are in a Suite so odd we get to book the Horizon Dining Room decks. 

 

There is no Umai Teppanyaki so hope this will be ready for us!

Still can't book for summer 2024, but excited to see the venues now when looking at dining for our cruise!! Get an error message stating "There are no available restaurants. Try to remove or change filters". We too are in a suite and see the same as @dides does on the app.

Dining reservations in the app have also appeared for our 08Jun24 sailing; letting me select date & time, however it doesn't seem they're accepting bookings yet.

 

We are primarily Main Dining Room diners.

 

"...The three dining levels will serve guests multicourse meals from friendly wait staff and each have their own personalities, offer different dining experiences and range in levels of formality,"

 

I've still not seen more info on the above quote, to know which level will suit us best.

 

Any information yet on how to how to decide between MDR L6 or L7 please?

I'm trying to be patient with these delays since it's a new ship, but really wish we could start booking dinner... no matter how far away the cruise is 🙂

Considering Princess uses Select grade beef & not Choice or Prime, I doubt we'll pay the premium for Crown Grill. We're in Reserve Dining room, so hopefully it will be good as it should be for the cost of the Reserve class up charge.Deck 6 & 7 are likely The Suite & Reserve level dining rooms.

I believe the dining room gets more informal the higher you go and deck 8 is the most informal deck. That's all I have I'm afraid

Reserve and Signature have entirely separate Dining Venues on the Deck Plan. Horizon 6 and 7 are two floors of the MDR, although not sure why the third isn't listed. Maybe it's casual / walk up only? (Speculation)

We will definitely try the Butcher’s Block by Dario. We took part in one of his dining experiences in Panzano Italy. Fantastic.

We sail in Aqua class on Celebrity which is like Reserve. It's been many years and our reservation always says "Early Dining" - even though we know that we're in a dining room called Blu which is separate from the MDR and walk up. Celebrity's IT has never gotten it right so I have low expectations for Princess.

Just show up at your correct dining room when you want to eat.

The way to peg a CC Member is this:

 

1. Type the "@" symbol.

2.  Then, begin to type their handle, like:  @do

3.  A pop-up window with a list of matching handles appears.

4.  Keep typing the handle name until you see the one you want.

5. This is important:  You must click on the handle name in order to complete a valid tag.

6. If done correctly, it will look like this:  @dog.

7.  When you have a correct tag, the member will receive a notice via email about the post.

 

In this case, they may see your post since following this thread.  But, best to use the method above.

Can this possibly be interpreted to mean that attire will be screened when walking up to the dining room entrance? Therefore, those wearing shorts and flip-flops will be directed accordingly. And those who cringe at the sight may dine as they wish without the visual assault.

 

I am not too picky regarding dining room dress but I do have my limits and expectations. This looks like it is a way that Princess is addressing the styles and dressing preferences of as many passengers as possible.

I see mixed reviews on tripadvisor  about his Table.  Explains it quite well though.

 

I doubt Princess will  offer what we got. Back in 2018 we paid 50 euro each.
