That's how mine are held - in my IRA. I actually cut my loses when they went down about 3 years ago. The OBC and dividends did cut down on my loses. I just recently repurchased and actually am making a profit.

But we hang on to it in the hope it rebounds. What I’m trying to say is that it’s a stock and does come with risk to get the $100 credit Good luck I had bought when it was in the mid 20s. When it got down to the $8 range, I bought a few hundred more. If the stock gets back to around $12.50, I’ll sell all but 100 and using average pricing, I should break even on the sell order, plus I’ll still have the other 100 shares for OBC eligibility with a basis of around $800. Of course, the share price has to get up there at some point. That is the risk one takes.
Rare Ombud Posted January 24, 2023 #30 Share Posted January 24, 2023 I took the tax loss and bought CUK @ 6.50 which also gets Shareholder OBC.

I was surprised that they processed the latter and suppose I should keep an eye on it in July 2023 to see if it continues to show up. $600 OBC in 18 months for $710 investment - nice! ⭐ It took us 6 years to break even! I'm surprised at the April 2024 OBC being processed too - I assume you haven't yet paid the final balance? I understood that OBC would not be added until final payment was made. I'm sure the benefit will continue to be extended in any case.

TY Hello, I have two cruises this year and sent both in one fax. Only one of the cruises was credited. I recommend sending one, then waiting and sending the second one a bit later. Mine were posted to my account within the same day or the next. They are very quick. Enjoy Christie

justafem Posted January 25, 2023 #43 Share Posted January 25, 2023 I bought at $8.20 a share. Funded my account with $1000 and got $100 bonus after 90 days. Then when it fell to $6.XX I utilized the rest of the funding and bought another 30 shares. So far I've gotten $100, $50, $100, $250 on princess. I never get the credit on carnival, but I only book casino rates for those cruises. We're definitely princess people, carnival is too walmarty for us, LOL!

I have posted questions in Cruise Critic myself after searching the net for something I thought would be easy to find only to fail in that search. So I agree it’s sometimes not easy to find. If these types of questions aren’t what Cruise Critic is all about, then what exactly should be posted ?
