Speaking from experience......you won't stay completely dry. We had one last December and it rained hard for a couple hours and got wet,not soaked but wet. Also depends which way the rain is falling as well. Staying in on the couch would be where you would keep the driest. I moved out under the umbrella as I was getting wet sitting in the chair

This 100%. The room is solid but the sides are vented.

The towel was a good way to reduce the strong wind blowing in.

Thank you both!

Here are a few photos of our cabin. It’s a GS, on deck 10. We are under the pool deck and near the forward starboard elevators. The location is great.  We have hear zero noise, from the pool deck, the halls, or our neighbours.  Harry our cabin steward has been great.

A very positive thing, the shower curtain has not clung to us like in the days past. The pressure has been awesome and more than enough heat to melt a glacier. The cabin AC has been cool enough for us as well. Fridge barely keep up, but our ice bucket is always full.

Another thing to note, we bring a part bottle of pump soap from home.  Just a preference.

The only item of concern is this thing in our shower. Is it part Medusa, a creature from a Shakespearean play, or just a freak of nature. Either way it will be nice to get home and have a normal shower without this thing watching us.

I have wondered who considered that thing a nice piece of art for the bathroom wall, it is pretty hideous.  I go back and forth between either the black lips being closed or just a gaping open mouth.  Have considered hanging a towel over it 😂

Vision was a one and done for us. It just doesn't have the bling their other cruise ships have The one cruise we took on her was the Mexican Rivera...........On our sailing the ship had one broken engine, had to sail the whole cruise at a reduced speed therefore because of that we missed ports and our flight home .

It's are only cruise we have ever been on that we want to forget. To many other ships and itineraries to ever cruise on that ship again.

Wouldn't surprise me if it is one of the ships they put out of service soon with all the new ship builds on order.

That’s too bad about your experience.  We have sailed Vision class (Grandeur and Enchantment) quite frequently out of Baltimore.  Yes, no bells and whistles but suits our purpose of a close port due to DH’s mobility issues.  DS was on Vision of the Seas last month and said she was in great shape.  I will find out myself next month.  Katherine
