Thrak Posted August 5, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2023 Wowie Zowie! Awesome itinerary. I believe this is on Ruby Princess. I wonder if I can convince my wife to go back to Alaska yet again.
MJC Posted August 5, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2023 Nice!! That is very tempting, and we like the Ruby too.
SSAtlantic Posted August 5, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2023 Trying to convince my DH this is better then a B2B on Sapphire or Coral but he is not going for it. Will keep trying!
TM Posted August 5, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2023 Looks like an awesome cruise. But on the Ruby? That ship seems to be jinxed.

memoak Posted August 5, 2023 #15 Share Posted August 5, 2023 We have booked the 17 day from Seattle since we are a 3-4 hour train ride away. The best thing is getting to Glacier Bay, Hubbard and College Fiord all in one trip. And who ever gets to go to Wrangell

While we do like sea days...with an Alaskan itinerary the focus should be Alaska...not sea days!

There was a very bad storm and instead of going to our scheduled port(don’t remember which one it was) he went into Wrangell. There is a very good dock and it was a lovely small Alaska town. Not commercial like the normal ports. People were very friendly and it was interesting to hear about living there. There was a Native Alaskan Historic Site within walking distance of the pier. The place to buy souvenirs was the local ships chandlery.

Rare cr8tiv1 Posted August 8, 2023 #25 Share Posted August 8, 2023 Princess has 3 new long cruises to Alaska for 2025. LA round trip San Francisco round trip Seattle round trip I wonder if this is a test market? Or are they trying to win back their seasoned cruisers that they have alienated. Very popular Very expensive
