What can I use my 4 Diamond drink vouchers for if I have the Deluxe Beverage Package?

You can give anyone of legal drinking age a drink with your vouchers but I would ask them to be sure to tip the waiter/bartender since the vouchers do not add gratuity. Just my opinion on tips. Cheers!

The vouchers include gratuity. If you want to give extra that is up to you. Even though they are not supposed to, over half the time the crew hands you the drink without a receipt.

I have not seen a gratuity on my free drinks on my sailings. Are you saying that Royal is paying my server a tip on my free drinks?

This tips topic always invite unnecessary arguments.

I am not trying to stir a the pot. I am not new to the free drinks, but am curious about the tip. Please forgive me if this has been a hot topic before. I haven't been on the boards for a good while. My take on someone that is serving me anything from free to costing me we tip. I tip the person that cuts my hair and the person that serves me at a restaurant. Sure wish my grooming clients all considered me in the service industry.

Please forgive me if I have stepped on any toes.

You get a zero balance receipt. If you want to tip on a perk you have earned...have at it. Oh and FYI, before the tip police start attacking...I am an above average tipper.

I'm not trying to stir the pot either but would like to know where you got that info. I was always told that the free vouchers did not include gratuities. Sorry for erupting a sore subject. Please tell us where you got that info.

Actually, you started by pleading for folks to "tip".  For myself, I tip, often generously. However, I don't like others telling me what to do with my money. Tipping is getting out of control with sneaky additions on receipts or extra screens to shame you into tipping at check out. Almost as bad as that, I find people encouraging me to tip beyond annoying. Now as far as vouchers go, you get a zero balance on your voucher receipt and that is if they decide to give it to you. It is clearly stated on the Crown and Anchor perks page (footnote) In addition. on a couple of occasions, I have specifically asked, out of general curiosity, and was told the tip was included in the "free" voucher. Could be false, I don't know and I don't care. The voucher is an earned credit, typically I quickly grab my voucher drink and off I go. As for the Casino free drinks, I always tip cash...every drink, period.

Are you sure the vouchers don’t include gratuities, because last year a bar server told us how much he gets per drink. And we were using our D+ drinks….we always tip for the drinks too.

I am curious as to why you see those two programs differently and tip one but not the other.  They are both "earned" benefits one is just limited to a set number per day but they are both perks of achieving a certain loyalty status.
