Craps on celebrity

Anyone on a celebrity cruise now who can verify craps rules. Last time I was on, it was 3/4/5 odds on $25 plus bets. I heard today that on a ship last week, they have reduced all odds to double. If true, they should just get rid of craps.

There are those whose strategies do not involve the pass line.  Don't like the odds, don't play.  Getting rid of a standard casino offering because you don't like the payout is silly.  The slots are tight, so should they be eliminated too?

Touché.  My point is who likes playing at an empty craps table.   Pass line betters tend to play for hours every day and draw other players.   If they made the slots tighter than another line, yes, I would book the other line.

my question was what the odds are currently.

Currently on Solstice.

$10 (minimum) is single odds.

$25 is double.

$50 is 3/4/5x :o

While casino was closed, took pic of the placard.

Who is running these casinos? I have never seen anything so ridiculous (different maximums) and only 3/4/5 at $50 anywhere.  Do they not understand that the house always wins.

Who's running the casinos? That may be a more complicated question than some think. I've heard that casino operations on some cruise ship casinos is subcontracted. I suppose I could find a definitive answer to this, but I'm too lazy and not interested enough. 🙃

I agree with you on the craps pass line odds here. I think it's better and makes more sense for all involved to have odds at the same rate for everyone.

The casinos are contracted out on Celebrity.  Not sure to whom.

Reading your heading, "Craps on celebrity" I was expecting another thread complaining about something X did or didn't do!😁

And I thought that they were going to start charging per flush.

Classic package one flush.

Premium package two flushes.

My wife and I were on a Celebrity cruise in January, 2024.  We love craps and rolled up to the table on the first night on our cruise to test our luck.  To our great surprise we quickly learned  that Celebrity (and all Royal Caribbean lines) only offer single odds now unless you bet $25 minimums (then you can do double odds).    Yes, you heard that right, single odds.  There really is no reason to play craps on any RC cruise anymore.    This is similar to eliminating the double down in Blackjack.   Inexcusable. As much as I love Celebrity this is making reconsider who I cruise with (and I typically cruise 20+ days per year).

I do sometimes.  I live in Vegas and some of the stupid that rolls into town makes you long for an empty table when you can play a fast game and get a run rolling.  When you have a good group on the table then it is an entirely different story.

Help meunderstand this, So if I bet $10, and the point is 4, I can only back this up with $10 for 2:1 odds.  But if I bet $50, I can back this up with $250 for 2:1 odds?

3/4/5 odds...5 time pass line bed on the 6 and 8, 4 times on the 5 and 9, and you guessed it, 3 times on the 4 and 10.

Was on the Apex 2 weeks ago.

I believe it was double odds on ell pass line bets up to $50 and then you could get 3/4/5.

An observation on craps play on cruises.

It seems like there are some cruises where there are a lot of craps players and others where the table is often empty most of the time.

The limited hours makes that understandable. Competing with dinner and shows cuts down on players.

My biggest issue is the constant "NO ROLL" call on short tosses.

I understand if a shooter  regularly does not hit the wall.

But on the first throw ,calling "No ROLL" is too rigid.

Even if the dice kick sideways and hit the side wall it is "NO ROLL"

IMO give the shooter one warning .
