Now, I have been here several times, and I had thought that the name $3 Deweys had something to do with the bar prices. Boy was I wrong. Patti was about to give me an education……

IMG_6051-XL.jpg

Wow, a fellow could have quite a night for $6! Lol. Now that I’ve been enlightened, let’s take a look at the beer and cocktail menus…..

We decided to order some lunch. Patti had a bacon cheeseburger….

In a previous job, I spent just over 2 years on and off developing a new medical building for a hospital in downtown Portland.  There are some unbelievably terrific restaurants in that area.  One of those restaurants was on one of those cobblestone streets that looked like an alley.  I’d love to go back there and visit.

Loving the review and the ship. Had planned on this ship being one of my 2 cruises for next year along with Alaska in August. Then life threw us a recent curve ball, nothing bad just unexpected so can't commit and all plans are on a short time hold.

Still going to enjoy learning more about this ship and looking forward to seeing new to me ports🙂

Hey Charlie! Thank you so much for posting more Patti pictures. I know you have a ton of them. I never use my phone to post pictures, but I know that something can be done to prevent the upside down pictures. Can one of the experts here help Charlie out?😀

Thought maybe there was an Australian port stop?

Subscribed.  We got caught up in the whole Magic/Venezia debacle as well and sailed on I think the second sailing.  We had to wait months for our cabin assignment and went from our first suite booking, an ocean suite, to a random lower deck junior suite since they re-categorized all of the rooms compared to sister ships like the Magic.  When we got a call the day on the drive to NYC I was about to lose it (again), but with this last change they made it right and we ended up a Terrazza balcony on 11.  I wasn't sure if we were going to give Carnival another chance after how they handled this whole thing but looking on your pictures it's bringing back the good parts of the vacation and maybe it wasn't as bad as I remember 🙂

We were in that ship swap mess, too, for our Sept B2B that we just completed. It was handled poorly and completely preventable.

In the end, we did get the cabins we had paid for, but it was painful... Once onboard, we didn't forget it had happened, but we really enjoyed the Venezia and were glad we got to spend some time sailing on her.

The crew was, as usual, fantastic!

I haven't either, but TS Ophelia probably had something to do with it.

A friend of mine was on another cruise line going to New England/Canada and was impacted by Ophelia. They skipped port calls in Halifax and Bar Harbor and made it to St. John. Then spent three days sitting out in the harbor in NY waiting for the weather to clear enough to dock. They made the best of it, but crazy trip! Hope Ophelia was kinder to you and Patty!

Hey Cruise Critic family! Today is all about football and beer,  so I won't be adding anything on to the review today. Have a great Sunday everyone! 😀

How many football games were shown today? We get on as you are getting off and my husband is also a big football fan.

Enjoying your review!
