We are using Galveston Limo for our cruise this summer and dealing with them thus far has been very smooth. They do require a 20% non-refundable deposit.

They are the highest price quote I got, but their cost does include gratuity.

Just did this- Enterprise car rental from IAH to Galveston 12-12- one day rental $109 US.

They close at noon on a Saturday and not open Sunday in Galveston

They did offer shuttle to ship. Uber was $16 including tip to Pier 21.

Hi

looking for suggestions of reliable transportation between IAH airport and Galveston. We plan on staying in Galveston the night before the cruise.

Thanks

I used Galveston Express yesterday from IAH to Galveston and they were reliable and professional.

Just disembarked today. Used Galveston Saltwater Moms and was impressed. They were reasonably priced, on time, and clearly communicated logistics information. They have a Facebook page. I highly recommend them. Plus, who wouldn’t want to help a Mom?  Lol.

Picked me up at Hobby and took me to a hotel in Galveston. Then after the cruise, they took me back to Hobby. They also cover IAH…

We had a great experience with Saltwater Moms too!    We used their service a year ago from IAH.

For our next cruise, we are flying into Hobby.  How long was it from Hobby?  Also, just wondering if your driver offered to stop at Bucees?

It was probably 45 - 60 minutes from the port to Hobby.  There was no offer, but I am certain she would have stopped if requested...

A follow up regarding our experience with Galveston Limo this past week. It was fantastic. The reservation process was easy and some subsequent changes we had to make due to airline changes were handled without any issue. We received text and phone call contact 24 hours prior to each reservation to confirm (much appreciated). The drivers (Mark and Kara/Kira) were nothing short of patient and friendly with our group of eleven and volumes of luggage. They were always early, they called when they arrived at our pickup location, waited for us when airline/cruise line delays kept us tied up longer than planned and maintained a great attitude. Galveston Limo was not inexpensive for a private, 14 passenger van but it was well worth it knowing we had dedicated ground transportation that was there for us on each leg. We highly recommend!

Does anyone here have any experience using BLACKLANE service?

@willing292

I used the Search feature for you and found this oldie thread from March 2023: Our Galveston transfer struggles.... I struggle to want to go back

As I said somewhere, we ended up using LiveryHouston.  They were the cheapest.

We had 8 in our party, they picked us up in a Sprinter that seated 14 and had plenty of room for luggage.

The van was clean, we had plenty of room, and there were built in USB C ports for charging if you needed it.

Our driver was prompt both directions (even early to get us to the cruise).

I would definitely use them again.

As I recall, it was 45 - 50 minutes to Hobby; maybe a tad more.  No mention of Bucees, but I'm sure they'd be happy to make a pit stop.

I just googled them, how did you book? I'm not seeing a website. Thank you for any help!
