We are on Arvia in a couple of weeks. Next time I'm allowed out by myself I will buy some posh chocolate mints. I can turndown our own beds and put a choc on the pillow. I may be able to get through the first week before DW finds out it was me. Doubt I could pull off that scam with a cheese wheel.🤣

Pop a Babybel on DW's pillow every night...kill two birds with one stone that way. 😉

We sailed on Britannia when she was in her first Summer season,at the time these forums were filled with posts from people saying they wouldn 't go on such a huge ship...how things change😆😆

Our cabin was at the blunt end & we kept wishing for a bus service from the Crows Nest at the end of a long, hard night, seemed a blooming long way!😁😁

Borrowed from another site from I think Gemma.

No photo description available.

I hope there’s water underneath when we are on her to the Caribbean

Not guaranteed.  Could be part of the latest round of cut backs.

Still, the excursion coaches could get closer to the gangway.

We are on her in July. Would love to know more about the refurb but can’t find any details. Do any other sites have better info?

I don’t expect huge changes but nice to see her in good shape.

Not much info out there but it seems to be going to plan.

We are on her on 26th, so will report back if nobody else has done so by then.

It sounds like a general spruce up and maintenance, nothing too exciting.

I was hoping for wheels so we could go sightseeing without leaving the Crows nest😂

I think if they were planning anything major on the interior that they would be milking it for all it's worth. So I guess it will all mechanical plus an exterior paint job.

I have heard the casino will be closed on her first cruise (Sunday?) As it's not finished.

That would be a deal breaker for some on here, obviously more cutbacks from p&o

How would it be a cutback if it’s not finished?  You would think P&O would want it back up ASAP I presume it makes them a lot of money.

Alas my sarcasm at the great and good eluded you my apologies, but I was referring to most threads on here usually degenerate into cutbacks on p&o.

That's a surprise as they had started work on it before the last cruise ended...

Must be quite a transformation to take that long, or someone forgot to order the carpet😂

Maybe they wasted too much time deciding on whether to choose red or black for the casino carpet colour.

It could be that they are installing new machines that will not be available until the ship gets back to Southampton due to some possible technicality with gaming laws.

It probably is a cut back.  The majority who post about the casino nearly always appear to believe that they win, so closing it must be going to save P&O money (unless in reality some don't do quite as well as they seem to believe)

I think they are waiting to announce the new Greggs.
