yeah perhaps I will NOT be checking it out!😛

we went to 360 on Discovery this April/May and absolutely loved it. Going to C/NE as well this fall on Enchanted and doing it again as it will be the day before my birthday. Definitely worth the splurge

That aft pool is even tinier than the 2 in the middle of the slide deck.  I had thought it would be a good place for sailaway. But the pool was shoulder to shoulder with kids and the smoke drifts down from the deck above. YMMV.

It’s not as nice as the terrace pool on the older ships, but better than nothing. On our Enchanted sailing, there were hardly any kids, that must’ve been annoying. We try to avoid sailing when school is out unless with family. One other thing about Enchanted pools is there aren’t any stairs into the pools, & these old knees hate ladders! Lol

BTW, enjoyed your recent review!

I am enjoying several of your comments here on the Enchanted, although we just did the Regal in February, and that is WHY we decided to do another Princess ship. As you ALL know, everyone cannot be happy about everything on the ship, but for ME, I just try to make the best of everything and go with the flow. Someone mentioned about the Gelato and only 2 servers, yes that is the way it was on the Regal. Someone mentioned they could not enjoy Alfredo's because of the Piazza noise, and there were 8 of us there, and maybe because of OUR talking, we did not notice any noise from the Piazza.

A few weeks ago in the Piazza on Enchanted they had a kids fair with faceprinting, chocolate fountain with all kinds of goodies, arts and crafts, etc. The kids looked to be having a great time!

yes, that's the family party. My kid enjoyed it when he was younger.

At least the Adult pool wan't over my head.  I'm only 5 ft. and I always have to hang onto the side of the pool!

Where would you move it?  Up on deck it gets too hot to dance at certain times of the year.  Club fusion has enough room to dance but that is only on some of the older ships.
I enjoy the atmosphere in the Piazza...you can stop by most any time of the day and watch folks enjoying themselves, whether they are dancing, enjoying games, listening to music or just having a cuppa and a pastry. A few weeks ago in the Piazza on Enchanted they had a kids fair with faceprinting, chocolate fountain with all kinds of goodies, arts and crafts, etc. The kids looked to be having a great time!
I look at it as the Heart of the ship!  JMHO!

The kids fair was great but with 700 minors on board last week, it was a bit overwhelming.  My granddaughter got her face painted, but there was a fair wait at most stations. It could have been done elsewhere but it gets more attention out in the Piazza, especially from those of us who didn’t remember until we encountered it.

Be sure to spend the extra for a meal at The Catch! Great location on Deck 5 (I think?) and wonderful food and service.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to listen to live jazz in Take 5, apparently - big mistake on Princess' part, IMHO.

We booked The Catch first thing!

Some things worth noting from my time onboard in May:

  • Amalfi Dining Room is only accessible from the aft elevators
  • Gigi's is the only casual dining option available on port days.
  • O'Malley's and Ocean Terrace are only open for lunch on sea days.
  • If you want to get lunch at O'Malley's get there very early to snag a table before they actually open for lunch. You can bring drinks over from Good Spirits or the International Cafe while you wait.
  • Princess Live bar serves coffee drinks during the daytime most days.
  • You have to go through the Fitness Center to get to the Wakeview area on deck 17 unless you go out the back of the buffet on Deck 16 then up the stairs.

Wow Every Princess ship is different.  I was just on Discovery for an Alaska cruise and would have loved lunch at O'Malley's but it only opened for dinner in the evening.

I've just looked at the daily patters on our Enchanted cruise and O'Malleys was only open for lunch on the second sea day. So, once.

That's unfortunate. It was open for lunch on both of our sea days in May. This was the Belize, Roatan, Cozumel, Costa Maya itinerary.

This was the first time we saw it since we usually sail itineraries that have few chldresn.  We enjoyed watching the kids....they were having a great time and it took me back to when my kids were small!  All the kids seemed well behaved and happy!

All the misbehavior I saw last week was reserved for the pools.  While parents ignored it.

The queues at the kids fair were remarkably disciplined.

700 kids!   Wow!!!

We do not cruise during 'family' vacation times.

I tried Princess CHAT to ask how many kids are booked on our next sailing.  Said they didn't have the info.  We have asked our TA, and are waiting of find out.

Back in 2019 we were on the Anthem of the Seas out of NY over Presidents Day break. Per the Hotel General Manager, they had 1,700+ kids out of 4,800 on the sailing. They were remarkably well behaved. There was only one young boy who was always at the self-serve Coca-Cola machine playing havoc. The bigger issue was at Disneyworld on Presidents Day. At 8:30 AM I never saw a crowd like that in my life LOL.

Oh, they have the info but in recent years they don't like to part with the exact numbers. I personally think many people will shy away from that cruise for fear of having to many kind on board & it would cut sales.

For instance on our Christmas cruise on the Enchanted I called & asked & was told there would be only a handful of kids.  😆

I believe the number was close to 700.

Exactly, it’s an atrium not St. Peter’s Basilica.

I sailed on the Enchanted for 30 days in February/March this year.  I really enjoyed her.  We did do the 360 experience and it is well worth the experience.  O'Malley's was great but almost impossible to get in (they didn't take any reservations).  We also did Ruby's (twice) and loved it (we're from Minnesota and don't see a lot of fresh seafood here).  We also liked Sabatini's which we felt was much better than the crown grill.  Casino was small and smoky.  Staff was beyond excellent.  Ship was clean and well maintained.  We did have a couple of missteps with being charged for items we did not buy but it was taken care of right away.  Embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze.  Drinks in Good Spirits were really good.

Richsea, I agree for ME, the shallow pool too. 🙂

Wiscruiser2, it The Catch a fish place?

Everyone else that responded here, thank you for your input too, as we do not plan to be cruising during spring break for most of the children. We don't mind a few, as long as the "parents" don't let them run WILD! 😞

I am glad to see this thread.   Now that the dining is open, I wonder which of the Man Dining Rooms you all would choose.

I believe Capri is the one that is open for breakfast, and for lunch on sea days.

And, Amalfi seems a bit lighter and I think this seems nicer.

I don't like the idea of the walk and the stairs or elevator,  but we have noticed that this Aft dining room on the Royal Class ships can be less busy???

Santorini is for Traditional early and late seating. Which is not what we will choose.
