Pinnacle/Zeniths ?

Am I missing something? I have never heard Pinnacles only book interiors.

You'll see it in suite lounge threads where many assume Pinnacle are in interiors "cheating" their into the lounge or when people try to downplay 700 points by calculating the cost as the cheapest interior cabin available in the last 10 years then doing the math based on that, as if those one-off deals are available all the time.

It's pretty common to see.

It's well known that all Pinnacles live in FL, and only took 3 night cruises in an inside (when you were credited with 1 cruise credit (pre-conversion) for any length sailing).  😉

Can any one here explain what is the $25 Specialty dining coupon ?

Is it just one time discount for Pinnacles ?

Only useful for us if they extended it fleetwide since we refuse to ever sail on any of those classes again.

Wow, I am really surprised to see (small text at the bottom) that this $25 voucher actually WILL cover anywhere !  It's good at Chef's Table, Railway, Empire, even Izumi in the Park (and more, of course...but these really surprised me) !!!

It was originally an offset for getting booted from Coastal Kitchen.  No other classes have CK, so...

Why 🤷‍♀️ - it was provided on ships which have a CK to compensate for people not being able to get into CK.

No CK no voucher needed

Differential equity is not equity. Either make it a perk for all, or do it for none. Just like the internet perk for non pins in suites on those classes of ship that is not offered for non pins on suites in lower class ships. Consistent inconsistency is a hallmark of RCL's inept approach to its customers.

One of the reasons why we are booking elsewhere - I don't deal well with corporate incompetence.

Same can be said for actually being a P.
On my last 2 cruises I was Not Pinnacle Enough to be allowed into CK or the lounge. In my mind you either are a P or you are not.
My future cruise bookings reflect my frustration with RCI. The Zenith match could not have come at a more appropriate time

Slightly off topic query.  If I as a diamond,  cruise celebrity as an elite, when I get to Diamond plus does my celebrity elite status automatically upgrade to elite plus or is it a one and done crossover

Anyone know?

I do not think it’s a one time thing… as you move up in one you should move up in the other

Have no fear, ask any non-Pinnacle on CC and most will state with absolute certainty that Pinnacle never book anything but interior cabins.  🙂

LOL...you got that right.  😄 😄

Agree.   We are on half of Serenade WC.  Could not book any suites...not even JS...even though we booked our quarters within hours after bookings opened with Next Cruise.  Those were all nabbed by full WC sailors.

Must have been a cancellation, as we were able to win the bid for that first quarter to a GS, thus entry into CL.

Last quarter, system would not even allow me to upbid.  So...we stayed "cozy" in a mid ship balcony.  First 3 of the 4 mini segments of fourth quarter we were allowed into the CL as one of the top 20 Pinnies...this last (22 night) we did not make the cut...missed it by 200 points.

Feel sorry for Amit the concierge in the CL...he told us (as we now hang out in the VCL) that it is miserably empty in there.  That cuts into their tips.  Sad.

Yes.  As you level up it reflects the change on X automatically.  If it doesn't it's time to call them.

D+ actually has different tiers.  DP175, DP340, and DP525.

Perhaps they should do NPE (Not Pinnacle Enough), MTC (Made the Cut), and IOTS (I Own the Ship) Pinnacle tiers.  😉

We just returned from B2B on the Harmony and found out real quickly what ‘not Pinnacle enough” meant. It’s the first time we were completely shut out from Coastal Kitchen - not even one night was allowed. At 911 points we were surprised it meant nothing. The Loyalty Ambassador seemed miffed that we even asked about the cut off line. He informed us between suites guests and casino masters it’s unlikely we would be allowed in Coastal Kitchen going forward.  So free internet and one extra drink and bottle wine was the only real difference between us and Diamond+. It was really a bit of a let down and like some previous posters stated, we are hoping for a refreshing change on our future Celebrity cruises. Although we may not get full Zeneth benefits, we don’t get full pinnacle benefits with Royal anymore either.

The full premium drink package on X is pretty great compared to the one extra drink Pinnacle get on Royal.

Is this Amit that was on the D concierge Grandeur out of Baltimore? We cruised with him for a month and he was great. Willing to lend a hand with the waitstaff and made sure his happy hour was a great time for all.  Last cruise with this great ambassador 7 yrs ago.

The odd thing is some ships are willing to handle 70-80 Pinnacle and some cut it off sooner, ie no consistency.

The further rub at least to me, is those that make the cut can bring a non Pinnacle cabin mate, totally unfair.

Probably.  He was on Brilliance a few years ago out of Tampa in the CL when I broke my foot that first night.  😮   He remembered me right away.  He is always so attentive.

I think you will find that more and more.  Being Pinnacle with over 1300 points is not enough for us either.  We don't have access to the CL on this last segment of last quarter WC on Serenade.  Actually being Pinnacle at all...... means nothing on this cruise, except breakfast in Giovanni's.

Totally agree there.  IMHO...was a dumb move (one of many) for the C&A program.
