UPDATE ON JAMAICA.

The couple we met and buddied up with on the cruise spoke with the lady whose husband passed away on the excursion.

To start with while our friend was waiting in line in the windjammer for stir fry the couple behind them were discussing it. They were on same excursion.

So when she went back to her table outside by sprinkles soft serve she told her husband.

Then the lady at the next table came over and said she heard what they were discussing. She politely goes that was my husband.

-She proceeded to share what happened.
-Her husband was 52 years old

-He was on a water structure trampoline
-He did a big back flip and ended up in the water.
-He knew he inhaled sea water

-decided to get to shore

-on land told his wife what happened

- collapsed

-ambulance to hospital

-pronounced

Then she goes

-she was interviewed by police and was asked if she saw anyone pull him under

-she said no

Then she was told of the process of returning him back home to Utah.

It is a police investigation

It is also a coroners case; by the time the official autopsy report and toxicology results come back it will take at least 4 weeks.

They advised her that there is nothing for her to do until the body released. It was recommended she plan on going home and getting in touch with funeral home to make arrangements for transfer him home when body released.

She said :  since there is nothing she can do, she and her 8 year old son will continue on cruise and go home.

They felt so overwhelmed by her situation. And her poor son losing his father.

Prayers to the family.

That is so sad.

I'm enjoying your live report. I'm on the Freedom OTS Eastern cruise over Halloween. Did you buy these on the ship or at one of your port stops? Buffalo and Blantons are 2 of my favorites.

Suite lounge has only been 1/3 full this week at 5 pm.

Now the plot thickens.

Next week Pinns  will have to have at least 1300 loyalty points to be in suite lounge.

(I asked Matty how many Pinns on next sailing. There are 78).

I am sure you also figured out what else is missing that other live threads share?

Hey - thanks so much for doing this review.  Excellent stuff.

Yes, a fellow Canuck - Captain Dustin.  He's a very nice, down-to-earth kinda guy. Hope he's still there for the 22nd?

Wonder if I could ask for some info about the deck 4 dining room layout? (if anyone knows?)

Are there any tables for 8 on deck 4, near the railing overlooking deck 3?

Normally ask for a table on deck 3 but seems it is all mytimedining on Freedom

Thanks so much if you are able to let me know.

They can adjust and rearrange the tables as they deem necessary.

I do not believe so. I have MTD and the earliest time I could get pre cruise is 700.

This cruise was almost perfect.

Only one small bump in the road with shore excursion.

I expressed my concern and was ignored. I did not need nor want compensation. I just wanted them to be aware.

No one took the time to acknowledge my concern.

Unfortunately. Others will probably see the same situation.

Miss Freedom.  You still gave me a great

 vacation

We have had the same issue. Surprisingly on Oasis as well. We were asked to go to guest services. We were not catching a flight so cannot complain about that, but bothersome and time consuming. Now dh goes to guest services the night before and gets a printed zero bill with account settled with cc..

We do the same thing, Arzeena!😉

On the ship.

Delivered to cabin last day 3pm.

Just remember to not put the do not disturb sign on cabin door. They will not leave.  If you do contact your cabin attendant to get.

Be safe
