bikerunner Posted 9 hours ago #5 Share Posted 9 hours ago Similar to what they call a French balcony. Overall very divisive with all, either hate or enjoyed it seems. I like the extra space in the room they give.

39august Posted 8 hours ago #8 Share Posted 8 hours ago Not a veranda at all. It is an ocean view cabin with a large window. The upper half of that window can be lowered so you can get fresh air. However, it is nothing like a balcony.

I'd only take it if free upgrade from an inside.

I’d pay more for the floor to ceiling window vs a inside. We have stayed in a IV and it was fine, prefer a balcony for some itineraries but there is no way I would stay in an inside, even for free. I stay in deluxe insides for transatlantic cruises as most times you can't open the windows of the IV cabins also I sleep better as the cabin is completely dark at night. bigbeergut Posted 3 hours ago #13 Share Posted 3 hours ago An instant veranda is when you switch your booking from an E-class ship to a M or S-class ship. Voila! You instantly get a real veranda.
