Live Cruise Reports

Happily arrived in Lisbon this morning around 8.30am.😀........we were early.  The sun was shining and I think I slept almost all 6 hours! Customs was a BREEZE!!!! Literally the line just flew. Bags took about 15 minutes to come through....we had a full plane. I booked my hotel and transfers through SS and went out to the area where all the drivers have names on signs........could not find mine. Fortunately, after a few more minutes I saw a couple with a guy and the sign. Yea! I had walked out to the left and they were all the way over on the right side.  So off we went and on to the hotel. Staying at the Intercontinental.

I have decided to fire up this thread a week early this time as I am actively planning since we booked on such short notice.  Something we have never done before.
After returning from our last cruise I still had the itch to get back to cruising.   When I saw the Pacific Coastal cruises I suggested to Iain that we take one and he responded only if we can do a B2B.  Minutes later I was contacting a new agent and getting some quotes.   

We are a party of three- mom and two daughters, celebrating DM’s birthday on the Sunrise setting sail tomorrow.  We have two cabins- a Cloud 9 Balcony and interior just across the hall.  
Booking was odd- we needed two cabins but all had different specials tied to our VFIP number. I had the “Free Cabin” special and ended up booking the Cloud 9 interior for $50- no kidding. But wait!  DM and DS had a RU1 offer and booked for a low low price WITH free drinks! I had to spring for Cheers on top of the cheap room.

So, I'm back on on a ship in a week.  I last came to you from the Summit in St. Maarten.  
 
I know this is only 10/1 (10/2 for most of you), but our adventure starts tomorrow, so I'll start this now.
 
In July, my sister and I decided that we didn't have to miss our annual summer cruise, so we did the St. Maarten cruise, and convinced our friends, Mike and Kathy to join us.  I called that the A not B C plus Barbados itinerary.

There are still a few days to go before we leave for Venice, but I'm hoping others from our roll calls will join in with their experiences during these Covid times.  We are excited thinking about our adventure to come, also nervous - we definitely want to stay healthy, and that really is the main concern - I know the cruise is going to be great.  The itinerary is one we've done before, only a couple of new ports, but that really means we can be more relaxed about our ventures ashore, and if we have any doubts, we'll just stay on board.

Hey all! It may not be 84 years since my last cruise, but it sure feels like it. It's actually been 938 days, but who's counting. And yes, using an image from Titanic for a cruise lol. 
 
There hasn't been a ton of live reports, and not a ton on Odyssey, so here I am! I've never done a trip report for a cruise, but wanted to give it a try. Will it last the entire cruise? I hope so but no promises. 
 
A little about us.. It's myself and my wife. We're both late 20s and early 30s. We'll be hitting Diamond this cruise! Our last cruise was pre covid and was in March 2019 on Symphony of the Seas. Normally we only go in March, so this is a first do us.

Hello everyone, and good day. The Sea is Calling Welcome to “LIVE” from Oasis of the Seas
 
I will be heading north tomorrow to sail Oasis of the Seas from Cape Liberty.  This will be my first Cruise since Nov 2019 (Queen Mary 2, transatlantic) Wow, it has been almost 24 months since I was able to post “LIVE” My Covid Test today was =Negative=, so I am ready to sail.

I've been debating on whether to do a live this time as Anthem only has a few cruises left from the UK but there has not been one and hopefully it will help someone so here goes☺️.
We board in Southampton tomorrow with stops in Liverpool, Greenock(Glasgow) and Belfast.

So I when Alaska bookings opened up for this year I quickly booked a spot on the 2nd HAL sailing of the season and had such a good time I am going back for the last HAL sailing of this season.
 
The 1st trip was just me and my 2 kids. This trip will be just my brother and me. It is his 1st cruise ever and he is getting really excited.''

Currently also on the Symphony heading to Bermuda. Some random thoughts/observations.
 
Some background. Just turned 40. I usually cruise solo. Mainly NCL Haven. First time on Crystal. When I booked, prices were very similar to NCL for solos and I've always wanted to try Crystal. I've been reading through various Symphony and Serenity reviews, so I knew what to expect given the low passenger count. For an introvert that, on cruises, likes to get lost in a crowd and enjoys being around people without actually having to interact with them....

Well, here we are, once again, starting a journey to Alaska beginning on Saturday, the 25th, and ending Saturday October 2nd.  At his point, we will believe it when we arrive to the pier in Seattle.  Since we abruptly left the world cruise on the Amsterdam back in March of 2020, we have booked several future trips, only to have them be cancelled due to worldwide Covid outbreaks.  Life will return to somewhat of normal someday, just not that quickly.

So, not quite a live feed yet but thought I would start a similar post for those that have questions about the initial sailings on the Grand Princess out of Los Angeles.  
My iPad is a bit wonky when posting to CC but will try to answer any questions you all may have about these sailings.  We, along with many others are doing a B2B (back to back) cruise starting on 9/25 and we will be continuing on until we disembark on 10/4.  I see a couple of others on our roll call stated they would jump in with answers to the questions you may have or even just post about their experiences.

IT’S LIVE – RETURN TO CRYSTAL SERENITY & THE BAHAMAS – SEPTEMBER 20 -OCTOBER 11

Who would have thought at this stage of our lives between our two seven-day Bahamas Cruises in July we would return for three additional cruises of the Bahamas starting September 20th?

We will be sailing tomorrow on the Gem. I am so excited to cruise again it feels like early Christmas. I have had some requests to post food of the Vegetarian options and we have the premium plus beverage package so there will be upgraded drink posts and regular drink posts as well. I will try to post daily depending on the quality of the internet. If you have questions let me know!

So after months of anticipation, here we are aboard World Navigator.  
 
First impressions: The ship is gorgeous. It has a modern chic feel. A city resort feel with a 40 retro chic layer about it.  The staff is so lovely ( at least thus far) , you can tell they are smiling under those masks. Joseph and Rami in the main dining room already making us feel so welcome. The cabins have ample storage and our mini bar was set up upon arrival with all kinds of choices in the fridge and kettle one waiting for us instead of Tito’s vodka along with a note apologizing that they had to make the switch.

Hi. My wife and I are thrilled to be sailing on the Majestic Princess starting Sunday, Sep 19th. Because of the pandemic, we had two cruises cancelled and really need to start travelling again. We live in Colorado Springs, CO and this will be our 12th cruise on Princess. We have also sailed on Holland and Celebrity, but Princess is our favorite.
