  1. I haven't seen any verification but it's in the Plusgrade T&C's. https://upg.stage.plusgrade.com/terms/partner/9Ck2Ks4MSC?lang=en
  2. Does MSC (US) have any plans to resume the relationship with Cruise Critic and reinstate hosting Meet and Mingle events on their ships? To CC administrators: I am assuming that Cruise Critic has been encouraging cruise lines to resume their prior participation.
  3. Read the Terms & Conditions, solo travelers are charged twice the bid amount.
  4. Divina cruises stopping in Columbia still have vaccination or a negative test required. ETA: Also Grand Voyages from the US require vaccination for 12 years old and up. Plus testing for 5 yo and up.

    Wrist bands??

Personally I dislike the wrist band just for physical reasons, my partner prefers it. You'll need the card anyways for getting on and off the ship. If you keep forgetting your card in the slot near your cabin door your cabin steward will get frustrated thinking you are always in the cabin. If it bothers you, supposedly they track the wrist bands as you move around the ship (not sure how/if the RFI technology differs from what is in the cards). I'm not referring to the other covid contact tracing bracelets.

    Wrist bands??

Wrist bands are only available on newer ships, Meraviglia and later. Aurea and Yacht Club experiences get wrist bands and regular cards. Bella and Fantastica experiences can purchase the wrist bands for a nominal fee.

  8. Regarding the Sofa/Bed, I've been in YC Deluxe with no marking (only two berths as main bed where the couch does not make a bed) and with the two circles (main bed and couch that lifts up as bunks) and the overall cabin configuration was the same. I'm pretty sure the only differences are whether the sofa can be for none, one, or versions of two people (fold out and lift up bunks) but the overall size is pretty much the same and doesn't affect cabin layout.
  9. 16002 will not get noise from the Top Sail lounge, on the other side of the wall is a secluded nook with couches. However you will be directly under the waiter's work area for the YC restaurant. There will be a lot of activity above that cabin before and during meal service.
  10. Attached is MSC rebate policy and Q&A since 2020, I'm not sure if it has changed recently. It pretty much limits to a max of 10% rebate and only as a "Value-add" - meaning something that could be purchased through MSC, e.g. OBC, gratuities or excursions.... MSC policy is no rebate checks or cash type discounting directly to customer. B2B_TA_Rebate-Policy-rev-8OCT2020.pdf
  11. It varies widely by ship class, but is basically access to a reserved sun deck area. Some have dedicated hot tubs, some don't. Particularly nice on Seaside and Seaside-plus classes that also have dedicated bars.
  12. In the past a bid to Aurea officially did not come with any of the Aurea experience benefits. Recently MSC/Plusgrade actually made changes to the Terms & Conditions that do allow bids from the lower experiences, Bella and Fantastica, to Aurea cabins to now get the Aurea benefits. See #17 in the T&C's below. Previously only Yacht Club bids came with the associated experience benefits. However, Aurea no longer comes with a drinks package or the massages. Winning Aurea bids now officially get the my choice dining time (and restaurant on certain ships), thermal spa access and the few other cabin amenities. https://upg.stage.plusgrade.com/terms/partner/9Ck2Ks4MSC?lang=en * https://upg.stage.plusgrade.com/faq/partner/9Ck2Ks4MSC * *Above website links may change their content after this posting date. 13. The white space above the deck 18 YINs is actually the YC pool and equipment. Yes, the pool is on deck 20 but it is sunk six feet below floor level so it actually takes up space on deck 19 directly above the cabins on 18.
  14. Normal policy is that MSC holds all cabin's prices to what they were at the time you made the booking so it basically locks out taking advantage of not only your booked category price drop but also higher cabins as well. Usually you either pay what they were at the time you booked or have to cancel and rebook at the new price.
  15. It's still listed under the US Voyager's Club Terms & Conditions, page four left side. • Complimentary Spumante with macarons in cabin [Diamond], per cabin and once per cruise. Privilege not available for members under 18 years old. Voyagers Club Final TCs.pdf
  16. I did Meraviglia deck 14 YC. There is a central staircase but the YC elevator is easiest for getting to the upper levels, usually it was easy to get an elevator. The only downsides I noticed were a high level of officer/crew traffic on 14 through the YC and often they left the card acess door open between the YC stairwell area and the general public elevator area. It didn't cause any problems on my sailing. The second problem was when in the lounge or restaurant there's only one public restroom, other than the pool deck, by the concierge on 16, one single unisex commode that was always in poor condition.
  17. Very expensive Ocean View cabins that usually do not sell very well.
  18. Unfortunately I've seen this happen fairly frequently, taxes/fees listed very high when the sailing is first listed then lowered considerably later on. I've managed to get MSC US to apply the current rate to several of my existing bookings as late as mid 2019. But in late 2019 it became difficult and I never got it done, I ended up canceling due to the pandemic anyway. Those last bookings were actually messed up badly by their attempts to fix the taxes.
  19. The Cruise Critic M&M has not yet been reinstated by MSC. These were primarily only held on US based sailings, so unlikely CC will be adding Europa to the list any time soon. You can still plan a gathering through the Roll Call for your sailing. I've read cases where MSC keeps records of past sailings, where CC members that had attended MSC M&M'S in the past may get invited to a small event when no official gathering was planned for the sailing.
  20. It's a problem with the MSC website, it's been happening for several days now. You can call in and get assistance if you need to book now.
  21. I just noticed OP was on Divina October 24th, and the port schedule did reflect she would/did dock at terminal B. So @mafig, I would expect to embark Seashore October 29th at terminal E where it is currently scheduled. As to which parking deck to use due to your possibly disembarking on November 6th at terminal C, I would defer to morpheus. I've read that MSC/port will shuttle people back to the garage near their embarkation terminal when this happens.
  22. Divina is scheduled October 28th at terminal C. Seashore was scheduled October 29th for terminal E, but it sounds like that has changed.
  23. Sorry, I reversed it. According to the link stp_mmh5 provided you in your other thread Seashore will be at terminal E on October 29th and terminal C on November 6th. Manifest10-29.pdf Manifest11-06.pdf
  24. I didn't see if you are on the eight day or longer. If eight day, which parking deck do you plan to use since you embark at terminal E and disembark at terminal C?
