  1. Sorry, you lost some credibility here. If you're not using the drink package or the specialty dining you can choose not to get them and won't pay gratuities on them. But, if you're going to go that far you might as well not get the FAS offers. I have a cruise booked and didn't pay gratuities on a package I had no plans to use, I just chose during the booking to not include that offer. Your points are entirely valid in that instance - you can certainly save money on the fare if you're not planning to get those. However - if you plan on using the drink and dining package it absolutely pays to get the promo. Something you lose by not taking the offers is the option to select your cabin at the time of booking. Can it be changed once it's assinged? Maybe, but you're getting to choose from whatever is left. For the OP - it seems actual answers to your questions have been accurately provided in other posts. Just a reminder that some of what you asked is answered in the T&C's of the promo...
  2. Those cabins look amazing! Too bad I'd need to sell my car to sail in one at this point in time..
  3. You really think the passengers of other cruise lines are immune to charters? They ALL do it...
  4. I realize the FL departures board would be the better place, but I'll add what I did here. I stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn Airport West. They have a shuttle to/from the airport and apparently DO have a cruise port shuttle (I think it was $15 per person, left around 10:30 AM). They did ask that you sign up for the cruise port shuttle at least 12 hours in advance, I just chose the Uber so I could get there on my time rather than theirs. Uber from there to the cruise port was $45 plus tip. There's a restaurant in the lobby where you can get dinner and breakfast.
  5. Why? I bring mine. I even bring the charger if I think I'll need it.
  6. Here's the thread (on page 2 of threads as of my reply) with the report that the NCL option is being scrapped -
  7. While this is an international forum, it seems many or most here are from the US, so those of us from the US that post links are doing so from the US website. I suggest filling out your profile as @KeithJenner and I have done so that a glance at your name to the left of your posts will indicate to others that policies and T&C's may be different for you, without doing research on previous posts of yours as @KeithJenner has done...
  8. No, 20% on the list price of the beverage package (approx. $20 per day) at the time of booking. Passenger 1 gets a $50 credit per excursion for shore excursions. Each passenger gets 1 free specialty dining meal. Here is the promo terms to which @ColeThornton refers (it's a frequent search in my Google history at this point), everything is explained there https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions
  9. Got to love the consistency in these things then! Like @DaCruiseBug I was on a cruise during the World Series in 2019 (meaning ONE game of interest for that sport each night) and couldn't find it ANYWHERE on the ship, but when there are 14 games on a given day for a sport they seem to find a way to pick one to show...
  10. The silly thing with the interface is that it won't let you apply more than two "promo vouchers" at a time. I had a 10% promo and two CND's on my account, once I applied the 10% it locked out the second CND once I applied one. The website DOES have logic for certain lock-outs but for some reason the double-up (or preventing it) is not working right. For clarity - I WAS actually booking a Studio and had just passed the 6 months until sailing mark) but the only thing preventing the attempt to use two CND's was that I also applied the 10% voucher.
  11. There is at least one thread with a lot of discussion about the deal, your questions may be answered there -
  12. There's a Princess ship in Portland right now. Can Portland handle getting a ship this size out of the water?
  13. Yup, someone beat you by a couple hours
  14. and still won't change the prohibited items list for cruises out of the US, even if the Federal government does remove it from the controlled substances list.
  15. I'll agree that the food is good in Q, the portion of loaded potatoes as an appetizer was large. Value-wise - almost not worth spending a dining credit on Q, the prices are not outrageous. The theming in the venue (on the Bliss anyway) was awesome!
  16. Here are a couple recent threads referencing 'dailies' or 'six' for that ship -
  17. ALL specialty restaurants are included but some items at a-la-carte venues may carry an up-charge. As indicated in the MANY other threads on the topic - book your flat-fee venues FIRST, as the system will assume those will be used on the SDP. Then book any a-la-carte. It does not matter which ones you ACTUALLY use where, it's just tricking the system...
  18. I wonder if this warning statement below might have something to do with that. Maybe they're making that area, since it's somewhat private, an area where this is allowed?
  19. Silly me for not looking it up and thinking the name was the same as later ships, since NCL is apparently not allowed to change the names of venues without passenger approval (yes, a reference to another thread)...
  20. Then take it up with the international maritime governing body as that's the entity banning the substances. Continuing to argue it here will get you absolutely NOWHERE...
  21. I presume that would be an activity done in the Manhattan Room where there is a dance floor. There may be some organized dancing activities in the Atrium.
  22. Discussed (at length I'm sure, I haven't read the whole thing) in this thread posted a couple days ago -
  23. Doesn't surprise me, when you consider that the substance in question is banned from all ships around the world regardless of prescription for the person, and is banned federally in the US which has several implications explained earlier in the thread. By the way, this isn't just NCL. Here's Royal Caribbean's prohibited items list - https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy Illegal Drugs & Substances CBD Oil / CBD Products Here's Carnival's - https://www.carnival.com/help?topicid=1202 Any illegal narcotics/drugs including synthetic, designer drugs, Cannabidiol (CBD) and medical marijuana Here's Princess - https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/pre-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise/?accordion=prohibited-items All illegal drugs, including medications without proper prescriptions. This includes legal intoxicant synthetic or “designer” drugs also known as “Legal Highs” such as Lysergamides, Opioids, Methoxetamine, Synthetic Cannabis, Betel Nuts or Kava (Cava). Medical Marijuana I could go find more but I think you get the idea. Until maritime regulations change these prohibited items lists won't...
  24. Vibe pre-sale is relatively new. While there may not have been discussion of Vibe not being available on previous trips, it's possible all people were told when they tried to purchase passes on embarkation day was that it was sold out. Now it needs to be communicated as it's being sold in advance.
