  1. You don't get all the suite perks. For example premium drinks in the Retreat - yes. Elsewhere only what you purchased.
  2. Also me aware if you had an accident or illness that required medical treatment on land you could have significant issues
  3. The hull paint damage was NOT caused by ice. It was caused be the hull being improperly prepared when last painted. Will require sandblasting or similar to clean 100% so paint will stick. Cheng posted a post earlier explaining this in detail. Paint over the existing paint and it will simply fall off.
  4. Just need to request. The discount is not automatic
  5. Bring a couple bottles of wine and a corkscrew in your carryon bag.
  6. Celebrity offered special terms for the cruises that were scheduled to visit Israel. If you booked directly CALL Celebrity. If through a TA - they need to call.
  7. Definitely would not trust chat to get things cancelled. Talk to an agent with a name and get a WRITTEN confirmation. A few extra minutes is worth it to get to completed correctly. PS - as said, another reason to use a travel agent.
  8. I simply called Princess. The app is awful. Better if I use the web version, but frequently crashes. I note that on board the first night the whole reservation system crashed. So nobody had any reservations. Last, if you got a group fare the system assumes you will all eat together. Thus, back to the top - call Princess and let them know what you need.
  9. With a walker you are on your own getting to the gate. Mother used a walker with United and American to name two. At larger airports it was easier to get a wheelchair. If you are asking if the walker can be taken on board - absolutely yes. It is a medical device and allowed according to Federal rules.
  10. Great post. Our last three cruises had come definite "cursing" at times. Thanks for a bit of humor. No difference in the number of disappointments between X and the other lines. Just different. Like you we will cruise the itinerary, not the line.
  11. ckck - there most definitely has been a devaluation of the product on Celebrity. Have recently also cruised on HAL and Princess and found the same thing. An glad NM Traveler found that menus are returning the classics that were cut. I just hope that the steaks in the future change from the thin sirloins we were served on all three cruiselines. FWIW, on our last two cruises over 50% were first time cruisers. They never experienced cruising as it was before Covid. Yes, 100s of posts complaining about the food. Let us hope the steps announced in the last pod cast get things headed in the right direction. We also have decided until things settle down we will not be cruising until fall 2024.
  12. Definitely put in the special needs form AND let the waitstaff know at every meal so someone doesn't forget. DW is on low sodium and it was a challenge on every cruise on every cruiseline
  13. They already have. The problem with the gripes on Cruise Critic is it is a group of about 50 whingers who post over and over. Stuff like the burgers at Mast Grill. The beef is frozen and would probably be better if not as lean. 90/10 if frozen is dry. Comparing to a homemade burger with fresh beef is not a fair comparison. Try comparing to HAL - we threw ours out - or Princess where burgers sit in a warming dish. Ugh.
  14. You simply walk off. Have never had it take more than 10 minutes to get off when we are docked. Usually immediate. Many ship's tours do not leave immediately on docking. Many are afternoon tours. Relax. You are more likely to find the ship arrives late or there is an issue clearing the ship. In that case your tour will simply wait for you and everything will move back.
  15. AI doesn't include gratuities, you can get Aqua without AI, OBC varies with every offer. The offers also do not include all sailings. Your third question I choose not to address.
  16. The licenses to show the new movies are thousands of dollars. I would rather they upgrade my steak at dinner.
  17. Should be there now. Yes it can be fixed on board. Yes you can use it for gratuities. I would be having my TA take care of it.
  18. Yes, but you will "move" with the current pricing and perks for you new cruise. In effect you are canceling and rebooking.
  19. My DW tried for about a month and finally got everything done in 20 minutes. . . She called Princess and they filled in the documents. Gave her an email to send a pic of our passports. No need to tilt windmills!
  20. It was different almost every night. Thus we brought a light sweater. Temps varied from area to area. Warmer in the balcony.
  21. Other than our travel summary and passport - we just show up. If a transfer by Princess we just find where they are gathering and give them our names. If not on the list, show our itinerary Luggage we just provide our cabin number from our itinerary and have it tagged at the curb. Checking in - same thing. Show our itinerary and ID. Get our Medallion and board. FWIW, we do NOT print anything. We archive the email, download the attachments and forward the Princess emails to ourselves so stored in multiple places.
