  1. My DW and I have numerous cruises. Mostly on Celebrity. We are used to 7pm theatre shows and 8pm "late dining". Also the theatre while often full accommodates about 40% of passengers. It seems Princess main shows are 8 and10pm. A 10pm show is too late so???? Can you eat after the early show? Then no fixed seating times except very early unless a table for 2. Happy to eat with my wife but do that alone at home. Would like to eat with others. This is a 15 day Christmas/New Years on Emerald. Can we simply sort this out after we board? Will the early theater show be full? Thoughts and suggestions please.
  2. You do know that AON has no incentive to resolve claims fast. Precovid a site claim was 8 weeks. Today could be months. AON and other insurers will eventually get around to the claims. Feels today that multiple calls just gets a claim returning to the bottom of the pile. Regulatory complaints actually put things on hold, so don't raise that until after they finally settle.
  3. A do not miss adventure. You need to arrive in Seward a day ahead to do this one correctly. As for ship run excursions, too early as getting operators set back up is difficult.
  4. We looked at FBC for an international flight. Called another consolidator. The other provider was cheaper for business class. As said do your homework. A consolidator with a group block will be cheapest whether FBC or someone else.
  5. X am sure has priorities other than getting your phone or watch to open your door. But with the website having a few problems - some of which have lasted for DECADES - hope they will by 2030 get the existing app to work. My phone stays in the cabin. The app is great for menus but do you want to carry your phone everywhere? The Princess Medallion is ok as I can put it in my pocket, but prefer my Seapass card. Works fine. When it falls apart they give me a new one. When (not if) I misplace it they give me a new one.
  6. Suite prices have skyrocketed as so many have lots of FCC to "use or lose". Value of Suites is in each user's opinion.
  7. And read the fine print. With Tmobile I can make free calls on network to the US and have free data and texting . However incoming calls are billed at country rates.
  8. The group booking would be the same price as the cruise only fare but with perks included and a refundable deposit.
  9. There is no problem at all. If you are on a cruise and book another cruise (doesn't matter if B2B except for 48 hour rule) any new on board booking is automatically credited to the same TA as your current booking.
  10. To the OP, a quick read of the Celebrity policy or looking at the titles on CC plus maybe 3 or 4 posts would have found your answer.
  11. Think already answered. The basic items are available in the buffet. The more deluxe items are not. I think of the difference between going to a cafeteria and a sit down restaurant. Going to the MDR takes more time, but certainly nicer presentation. And as for the clothing requirements. . . other than shorts and tshirts with profanity almost anything you would wear to a nice restaurant at home is just fine.
  12. It is not new. Your solution is simple. As long as you are before final payment cancel your cruise with Celebrity. You will be charged $100 with the rest a FCC that can be applied to another cruise. Then book with your TA. You cannot move an individual fare to a group with a TA. I tried. Did a cancel and rebook. Have never heard of a cruise that is non refundable. Just the deposit.
  13. And a number of "non public" fares are not applicable to the guarantee. These include TA, group and pretty much any fare shown on their website available to anyone. To clarify the prior poster. In all cases you have 48 hours to find a lower fare for a price match - it does not matter if booked one week before your cruise. In that case always applies.
  14. Just wondering if the OP went to guest relations. The waiters and sommeliers cannot usually make this sort of adjustment. Have not seen any similar problems on Cruise Critic. Seems to be strange that Decoy is often usually more expensive.
  15. Black Friday deals are a wolf in sheep's clothing. Jim said it well. 25% off or 50% off 2nd passenger. If you are looking for a cruise do a mock booking. Then have Cruise TAs Compete using a Google search. They only deal is group fares that include perks and historically have had refundable deposits till final payment. Before you book with a TA, ask some questions and see how they answer - promptly and clearly. The savings significant. I do not use a big box TA - FYI
  16. 18 months from the last points you earned/cruise. Extended due to covid
  17. The headline of the article is Bull. Those infected are isolated. The other passengers are going about their cruise. The ship is continuing to visit ports. Nothing different from other cruises except this was the first cruise to WA in 2+ years.
  18. Almond, soy and coconut on board as non dairy. Just ask. Often not sitting out.
  19. What? The shareholder credit is not refundable. Thus why would it be refunded?
  20. Definitely do not checkin in for your cruise the day after it departs. You will likely miss your airline flight too.
  21. What? A Princess Medallion is required to get an Australian ETA? Really? Do you mean to get an Australian ETA you need to use a cell phone or other electronic device? Same for ArriveCAN.
