  1. A French Press does not have a heating element
  2. I have gotten e-mails sometimes but have also just seen the offer when I sign into my planner . I have 4 cruises booked in the next 16 months (January, March, October 2024 and March 2025) and have not received any upgrade offer on any of them yet.
  3. Do any ships have a Chapel anymore? I don't remember seeing one in years
  4. I read that one of the upgrades was to replace the smaller hot tubs on Serenity with one big one
  5. They'll play the video over and over throughout the cruise
  6. How about bringing a French Press and ordering a pot of hot water (like you would for tea) from room service?
  7. Once you accept the fact that nobody really cares (and probably won't even notice) that you rewear a top, or pants, or a pair of shoes, it's a lot easier to scale down what you bring.😊
  8. Agreed, there's more to value than just the bottom line. One cruise may have better ports of call, or a homeport that offers more things you want to do. Another may have ship features you really enjoy.
  9. If you access your booking on the Carnival website. under your "booking and order details" there is a place to link you dinner companions.
  10. In addition to my regular daily meds and supplements, I take Acetomenophen, Ginger capsules ( for nausea and seasickness), antacids, Imodium, Azo (just in case of UTI); decongestant, cough drops, band-aids OTC meds are available in the shops (When they are open) and are very pricey, so I bring these on "just in case" I keep small amounts of these in a zipper pouch that I can just throw in my travel bag
  11. Door decorations; Over-the-door organizers; Art Auctions; Faster to the Fun; Lido Pool; carry-on soda; Casino Table games; smuggling liquor; smoking
  12. If it's a simple cruise - drive to port. just us or another couple with us - I just book though the website, For something more complicated -fly to port, need transfers, larger group.I tend to use a travel agent.
  13. I think you will find similar cancellation policies across cruise lines
  14. Received several offers on our recent Sunshine cruise for "upgrade" from porthole to interior on a higher deck, not an upgrade IMO.- I turned them down. Have received no offers for any of my other booked cruises
  15. Port authorities are state jurisdictions. All this dig-sniffing seems to be mostly a Texas thing, and perhaps Florida too
  16. Unfortunately, BB does not include coffee, teas, milkshakes and some specialty bottled drinks (e.g. energy drinks)
  17. Just got an e-mail regarding changes to many of Elation's 2024 & 2025 Itineraries - changes from Princess Cay to Half Moon Cay, or switching days for HMC and Nassau, and some hours changes. We're on the 3/9 sailing, and HMC and Nassau are switched. My planner shows the change of days, but still shows my Nassau shore excursion on the original date which is now HMC. It does say that changes will reflect within 24 hours. I'll keep checking. If you have Elation booked, look for an email, or check your planner for changes.
  18. Last cruise we had a porthole cabin and I was offered an "upgrade" to an interior cabin on a higher floor. Of course I did not take it, as IMO an interior is never an upgrade from a porthole..
  19. I love Elation! Will sail her again in March.
  20. Most hotels will hold luggage for just the cost of a tip, I have actually checked luggage with the bellhop large hotels in NOLA even when I was not staying there (Such as when I was at a meeting),
  21. Drago's in the Hilton would be great for Dinner
