  1. It varies by length of sailing and is pp. OBC Offer: Cruise Onboard credit (“OBC”) amounts are per person, and vary by sailing length: 3 to 5 Nights $50 OBC pp; 6 to 9 Nights $100 OBC pp; 10 Nights and longer $200 OBC pp
  2. If you booked prior to March 31, 2022 you would be eligible for the Cruise with Confidence best offer which would allow you to take advantage of a better price/promo with any difference applied as OBC after final payment. If you booked after that date then no. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-with-confidence
  3. Don't be surprised if you don't find an option to make reservations for Blu. They have never in the past accepted reservations. If they are now then it will be years for Celebrity IT to catch up. I'd check once you get onboard. I suspect if they were taking reservations in Blu it was an attempt to alleviate a situation on a particular sailing.
  4. Even if you book via a TA you can use the MoveUp program without involving them. There is at least 1 TA associated with a warehouse store which does not participate. The MoveUp process is actually handled by a 3rd party which does upgrade bidding for many cruise lines and airlines. The person above who was actually able to change a MoveUp cabin from the assigned A1 to A2 was very lucky as the T&C state that what you are assigned can't be changed so you do have to be happy with any cabin in the category you are bidding on.
  5. In the Retreat Lounge we have many times discussed the "mug shots" with the bartender. They have them hanging in the pantry.
  6. Jim, you should be eligible there are no exclusions in the T&C. In the mock booking I did it was listed under discounts (July Sale NRD) and the OBC listed in the perks section was still the standard suite amount.
  7. Really not much increased value in the program after you reach Elite level. Many things returned but notice none of the priority xyz stuff. Given some statements in the last year that's all going to be reserved for stateroom categories (Suites).
  8. CVS in our area stopped free travel testing months ago. At the same time they shutdown the testing kiosk outside and significantly reduced the availability of rapid antigen testings. Our county drive up free testing sites (PCR) are also all shutting down due to loss of federal funding.
  9. Most times TA OBC won't change unless the price is lower which causes them a reduced commission. There are times when there is some cross promotional OBC given by the TA but really comes from Celebrity but this is always non-refundable and I think usually no more than $100 or so. The story from your TA doesn't sound quite right. I'd have them explain where their OBC was coming from (Agency or Celebrity). As long as you are not past the final payment date for your sailing then there is no reason you would not be eligible to reprice with this promotion. If the TA is not going to give you the same perks for doing so it's up to them to explain why.
  10. Did you request a refund under the covid policy or did you cancel using the Cruise with Confidence where you only would get a FCC?
  11. I also found the Flexible rates on AA for our SA cruise to be only about $100 more than the non-refundable rates which were the same as the FBC rates. FBC never offered the Premium Economy fares on the flights we wanted which connected in MIA and only offered a JFK connection on the return which was about 3 hrs longer flight times.
  12. I have Fubo-Tv and have successfully used it on several Caribbean sailings with no issue without VPN. It's probably because what Jim has reported that they stay connected to a US satellite. I had stream wifi package and only had trouble after about 11 pm. It appeared they reduced bandwidth at some point at night as buffering became unusable.
  13. I wonder if the public wouldn't be better served by a new thread with the title "Elevate/Indulge packages going away". So that people who may want to book with those packages can get them. It's going to be interesting for those who have the packages won't be able to reprice without factoring in the value of the packages with the new fares that won't include those benefits. I wonder if those packages were enticements to get bookings up and they are now reverting to the higher margin upgrades driven by the almighty $$$$.
  14. Remember you have to answer the health questionnaire which asked if you have tested positive in the last 10 days. So no.
  15. Should be visible in your "Cruise Planner". Many times there is a pop-up but there it is always listed at the top of the screen if available.
  16. Just to be clear stocking the mini bar with Soda/Water is not an advertised amenity of Sky or Celebrity suites but it seems has recently been pretty common place for Butlers to offer those with a Beverage Package included. Those getting beer/wine complimentary as well should just thank their lucky stars. Requesting things that are not advertised amenities via shoreside concierge in my opinion is the quickest way to make a good thing disappear.
  17. Try calling the existing reservations line at 1-888-751-7804 to get to the automated request system. Whole process will take only a couple minutes to get an invoice emailed to you. At the prompts answer the following 3 3 and wait for the blurb to finish 1 You will then have an opportunity to request an invoice.
  18. Yes any booking made April 1 or later does not come with the CwC protections. Still people with current bookings made before April 1 have coverage as long as their sailing is Sept 30, 2022 or earlier.
  19. Not the same thing but here in the US the global entry requires an interview and the closest one is 3 hrs away and is booked for months. I was able to schedule an appointment the day before boarding a cruise in San Juan with no wait at all.
  20. The Celebrity policy has very low limits for medical and evacuation. The general advice on these boards is to contact a travel insurance broker and discuss your requirements with them and let them help you select a policy. Here are the ones most often recommended here in no order. Although your sailing is some time off there are some things like pre-existing condition waivers which require the policy to be purchased within 2-3 weeks of initial deposit. www.insuremytrip.com www.tripinsurancestore.com www.squaremouth.com Another note is many of the policies will allow you to purchase with the current out of pocket non-refundable expense. For example we generally start our policy at just the cost of the deposit. Then increase the policy amount every time we made additional non-refundable payments (like final payment).
  21. When did you book this sailing. If it was prior to March 31, 2022 then you are eligible for CwC and can cancel up to 48 hrs prior to the sailing and get 100% FCC. If you are eventually unable to sail any bookings for onboard activities and Taxes/Fees I believe are automatically refunded to the original form of payment.
  22. To be a bit more technically correct. Anyone can connect to the ships WiFi to use the app or connect to the Celebrity website without a "WiFi" package. The package allows access to the internet. So even if the kids don't have a package they can use the app. As stated I don't believe the app uses notifications when a message is received so that limits it's usefulness. To use iMessage or WhatsApp you need to have a package. To use SMS texting you have to have phone service either WiFi calling or CellularAtSea.
  23. I don't think the letter has to be dated at least 11 days prior to embarkation but the Positive PCR test definitely must be. DW tested positive exactly 11 day prior to embarkation and had to wait to get the CoR letter until after isolation was completed and no symptoms for at least 2 days. Here are the Celebrity requirements for CoR A Certificate of Recovery must meet the following requirements: Be on official letterhead from a healthcare provider, public health official or telehealth provider showing: The Provider’s name The Provider’s address The Provider’s phone number Confirmation of your recovery and completion of isolation Be typed (not handwritten) and signed by the provider Date of validity must extend throughout the duration of your cruise Include a positive result document for a COVID-19 PCR test taken a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise. An antigen test result will not be accepted with a Certificate of Recovery. The test results document from your test provider must include the name of the lab that processed the test, the lab’s CLIA Lab Number or Certification Number, the address of the lab, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your positive result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Fully handwritten doctor’s notes (such as those written on a prescription pad) will not be accepted. Minimal handwritten components (such as a check mark on a “positive” box) are acceptable as long as the other required information is printed on the document.
  24. I always thought that if you had 2 comp packages you could just setup 2 different accounts selecting a different comp package for each. When I tried that when I tried to setup the second account under my folio number it said I already had an account. I had to get the iLounge to add the second device. In my case the packages were both stream so that worked ok. In your situation where you have one surf and one stream I do think you are going to need to inquire once on board.
  25. Sky Lounge bar will be open for pre-dinner drinks. I'm sure the hours change but I would expect it to be open by 5 pm. We tend to meet up there 5 - 5:30. Rendezvous Lounge is another nice place for pre-dinner drinks as it is adjacent to the dining rooms. We are also on that sailing, hope you are on the roll call.
