  1. For motive you only have to read the last paragraph of the "news" article "If money can be the reason why testing and vaccination requirements don't exist in hotels, airplanes, theme parks, concerts, and sporting events, then money should be a viable reason to consider dropping the testing requirement before taking a cruise."
  2. Virtuoso is a TA group your TA is probably a member of. I suspect there is some promo which is a collaboration between Celebrity and Virtuoso. At times a portion of the OBC given by the TA actually comes from Celebrity so it could be something like that especially if you know your booking is part of a group rate.
  3. Agree with the above about special needs and contacting Blu as soon as you board. Blu is not open during lunch but generally if you wander in there will be someone doing setup and you can speak with them. If you can't find anybody there go to the MDR where there will be a Matre'd there who can probably make arrangements for you to meet with the Blu Matre'd. As far as tomato soup I believe it's on the childrens menu so should be available nightly. I know some liver issues are highly sensitive to sodium so if that is an issue make sure they are aware.
  4. Yes 100 shares is required for shareholder benefit. Here is the online form https://rclshareholderbenefit.questionpro.com/
  5. eMed is just a company that sells Abbott Bionax Now tests (Lateral Flow Antigen) and includes a telemed service to monitor you taking the test and certify the results. These tests return results in 15 minutes and are accepted by Celebrity www.emed.com They are also available for sale via Optum which has a Celebrity specific link https://store.optum.com/celebrity-cruises-tests/
  6. Oh good a tipping thread🙂 Maybe we should discuss the proper tipping protocol for room service while in quarantine.
  7. It has been on Beverages since before the covid shutdown.
  8. For the most part yes. If I catch one on a ship I stay away from other people. To be completely honest would I cancel a cruise if I had a cold, probably not. But I'd certainly take precautions to not spread, like no MDR, Bars, Theater, Casino, Excursions while I was not feeling well.
  9. If it were all about you yes all would be great. The issue is you are carrying a highly contagious virus and are boarding a vessel with 3000-4000 other people. While I understand some of the statements about severity like a cold but I still get pretty pissed off when someone I've come in contact with gives me a cold and I feel like crap for a few days. People stay away if you know you are sick! It's not "all about you"
  10. It means it can be combined with a Celebrity "offer" like Always Included (or the current promo of the day like the current 60% off second passenger).
  11. Also make sure to get instructions for receiving compensation for your days in quarantine (refund/FCC)
  12. So your category is sold out but your CVP was still able to adjust the price lower? How are they able to see current pricing on a sold out category, my TA can't.
  13. Yes but probably shouldn't have. I think we all understand infectious diseases better now. Please don't be wandering around the ship or on excursions with any infectious disease including a "mild cold". You could be ruining vacation of many others.
  14. Same category wouldn't trigger a reprice. Call and it should be easily changed.
  15. When is the sailing and when did you book? If you booked before May 31 and sailing is before Sept 31 I think your sailing is eligible for the more flexible price match. I'm aware that the UK version wasn't called Cruise with Confidence but I believe the price match was very similar. I think what you are being told is the old program which has been reinstated for new bookings an bookings sailing after 9/30 where you only have 24 to 48 hrs to get the lower price. Hopefully someone with a copy of the UK version of the price match can post here.
  16. And is really the only way to fully understand Celebrity pricing moves.
  17. Yes. The flyer I posted above is available to your TA on CruisingPower and at this sales link. If you really have to push for this I agree it's time for a new agent. http://www.thecelebritycommitment.com/tools_offers.html
  18. We are flying to IGR the day we disembark the cruise. I have made arrangements to drop some luggage at the hotel in BA we will be returning to later in the week. I think we will take the 1 pm flight to IGR to leave enough time to get to the hotel and back to the the domestic airport.
  19. Yes on the Revolutionized M class ships they replaced the loveseat with the very hard and uncomfortable 1 1/2 seat chair.
  20. $100, $50, $50, $100 They apply it as a discount off the cruise fare of one passenger on each reservation.
  21. From the flyer: Agree that it must be requested as it's not done automatically.
  22. Just did while you were typing. It's $50 per leg for sailings 9 nights or less and $100 for 10 nights or more. See flyer I posted.
  23. Here are the details. I've never had an issue with them adding the B2B discount when adding a second sailing well after the original booking. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Flyers/CEL_Back_to_Back_Offer_Flyer.pdf
