  1. Yes the deposit remains. I believe if unused after a year the deposit is refunded.
  2. You would have to reprice at prevailing No Perks rate. AI is not an addon it's a different rate.
  3. Have you confirmed on your account that you still have that stateroom on your reservation?
  4. You will not get charged the admin fee for just repricing your sailing. The fee is only charged for cancellation or change of ship or sail date.
  5. Isn't Greenland a tender port as well?
  6. Jim, There is Celebrity policy and then there is what happens day to day when dealing with Celebrity. The 200% deposit requirement is on every invoice. They added this probably about 5 years ago. Of course this is easy to get around by booking on the website, paying the requested deposit (because the Celebrity site has not been coded to double it) and then transfer to the TA. The book onboard reduced deposit offer is for Inside cabins through Sky Suite. I can't find the documentation for this at the moment but that's what it said on at least my last 2 sailings. Not sure if they would actually charge 1 or 2x the standard deposit. So my sort of tongue in cheek comment was with a normal $900 deposit, doubled for a deluxe suite (CS and above) for a B2B would be $3600. They paid $400 in deposits total so technically they should have had to increase the deposit by $3200.
  7. Anybody have recommendations for private airport transportation for 4 people?
  8. The OP's question is interesting. On Celebrity cruises if you are on a B2B sailing and you test positive (or are even a close contact and continue to test negative) you are not allowed to sail on the next leg of the journey. Of course Celebrity is going to refund the cruise fare and assume airline would provide credit for the home bound flight but would there be any coverage for the certainly higher last minute flight home? The whole Trip Interruption case has me confused as I would have thought that having my trip interrupted/extended by covid quarantine would be covered by interruption where delay would be something caused by a common carrier delay. I do know my assumptions were wrong but the interrupted B2B cruise case is also something which I have concerns about as we often do B2B.
  9. I am surprised they completely removed the expiry date as I believe they have to carry these as a liability on the books. As far as the 25% bonus. What the change specifies is any 25% bonus FCC you may have received for a Celebrity cancelled sailing retains the original Redemption/Sail-by dates. Once those dates pass the FCC will be re-valued to 100% and you will lose the 25% bonus. What I haven't seen is if FCC's which have already gone past the Redemption date are still valid now. I believe most of the original cancellations had to be redeemed by May 31, 2022 with sail by Sept 31, 2022.
  10. The website has never worked right with 200% deposits and why more often than not they don't get the required deposit. My TA on the other hand who understands Celebrity and their rules does require, maybe the TA booking system works correctly.
  11. 1/2 hr from published sail time. Crew is 1 hr.
  12. I had a January 23 sailing drop by ~$250 total. That was the only one out of 6 future bookings.
  13. And you got real lucky as onboard bookings for CS and above are not eligible for the $100 pp reduced deposit. Plus regular deposits on CS and above are 200% so they should have had you pony up $3200 in additional deposit if they knew what they were doing!
  14. At least we can see in the T&C of this promo that Celebrity hasn't yet changed it's NRD policy and you still get the $100 pp penalty and the remainder in FCC if you cancel prior to final payment. Evidently RCL has changed this policy and NRD now means NRD.
  15. It has not had the revolution updates. Since it's not in service now I doubt if anyone can give you an answer for sure if they have done anything to the passenger spaces. If you are lucky they will do what they did to Constellation. They updated Rendezvous lounge, Oceanview and Michaels Club as well as spruced up the suites. That ship was in very good shape in the public areas.
  16. When you use the web browser and go to the emed.com site to take the test it will direct you to create a navica account. You actually take the test using the navica application in the web browser, it's just that emed takes you there transparently. But no you don't need the phone app.
  17. If they have a documented positive PCR test they will be able to board with a Certificate of Recovery 11 days after the positive test.
  18. Yes generally all they might offer is to cover change fees up to a small limit.
  19. In the US and I suspect all of North America you do have to pay a separate deposit for each cruise of a B2B.....
  20. I have never seen the benefit of the "Book Later" offer as you must select a sailing within 90 days or lose the OBC benefit. I have always done the "place holder" strategy which allows me to reserve something 18-24 months in the future and select a different sailing way out in the future retaining all benefits. Recently I believe I read that the Book Later offer allowed you to change ALL names so it would be a way to allow you to book for others while onboard but again the sailing would need to be selected within 90 days.
  21. I'm not sure this is correct anymore. I think it may have changed some time shortly before the pandemic. I recently repriced an AI booking to the new no perks rate and have select dining. Of course the gratuities will be on my onboard account.
  22. There are no self service laundry facilities on any Celebrity ship. As far as I have heard here you can take 2 12 packs onboard as part of your carry on.
  23. By the way this is not part of Cruise with Confidence policy. That policy only covers your ability to cancel for any reason up to 48 hrs prior to sailing and get a FCC.
