  1. Is that MSP? I live about that far in Rochester and hate those midnight returns and 6am departures.
  2. Did they change it for you without price change? They have done that for us when the new price would have been much higher. Not sure but I think they maybe have to do that. You can also check before dropping your bags at the airport if you get there early enough whether you can get on the earlier flight
  3. I’ve seen quite a few threads about AARP cards but never a long one. New ones kept getting started. I can see confusion when someone now for the first time clicks on this thread expecting it to be about AARP and is met with mostly Allstate comments (without the clarification Allstate is the subject). Maybe it should just be titled discount gift cards. Most people will miss the notation in a random comment on page 230whatever.
  4. When we have had airlines change the time on us we were able to call and have them change it if there was a later flight at no extra charge.
  5. No one said “non stop”. A direct flight can go from Seattle to Miami with a stop in St Louis for example. It is referred to as direct rather than non stop which would eliminate the stop in St L.
  6. You paid her fare when you added her but did not address insurance? That is a separate item. In all fairness, many probably would have missed that. You’re not a bad person. As I said, many would have done the same.
  7. Did you not intend to insure the 4th person? That would have been an additional charge you should have looked for? Looking back at your other threads on this same topic, you knew you had all been exposed to covid shortly before the sail date and yet you state you would have gone if you didn’t get reimbursed. And then you claim trying to be a decent person. Contradictory. FWIW most of us would likely have chosen the same. Covid should not even be a consideration anymore to to many it is.
  8. Those people stirred the pot using the. OP’s video spoon. Clearly no, the OP was not looking for ways to skirt the rules, they were trying to see how many responses could be classified as morality policing. Add to that the number of people who read the question wrong (was the question intentionally worded that way?).
  9. I think the OP got what they wanted out of this. The first line was “this should be good” and was an instant tip off that confusion or controversy was expected. Then they mentioned packages, which had nothing to do with the final question. Mission accomplished. Pot stirred.
  10. I don’t know the actual passenger count but shortly before I went, I checked for upgrades and there were very few available. Quite a few kids too so potentially many cabins with more than two people. I forgot to mention the kids were well behaved as well. I have never sailed NCL but saw the Epic in port once and was not impressed with the look of the balconies. I guess every ship has things one likes and things one doesn’t especially care for. But then my house is that way too.
  11. I think they were all too busy trying to make milk appear to be half and half. Lol
  12. May be more often true but not exclusively. Just returned from a 5 nt on RCI Freedom of the Seas with capacity for 4800. The only time we ever stood in line more than a couple minutes was debarkation and that is a given. We were constantly moving. Embarkation took 20 minutes from leaving the car to our first drink after completing muster. We could enter a show just before start time and find good seats, always a couple seats together in any bar, always found seats easily in the windjammer with several empty tables and we went at regular times. MTD was never a wait when we showed up at 6:00-6:30. We rarely saw stewards in the halls and NEVER food plates or scooters. There was a line for the flow rider but we were not planning on it (with all those people watching) but there may have been better times. We were thankfully not bombarded with cruise director announcements. He made one in the morning, one at noon, and one late afternoon. There is a solarium area for adults and it was never full. I didn’t look at the other pool but there were chairs at least close by. It was one of the quietest cruises I have been on except for right after the start up when the ships were empty. I did have the drink package but my bill at the end of the cruise was $20 for the casino and gratuities. No nickel and diming if you don’t want and still good food and entertainment.
  13. You can certainly book on most if not all cruise lines. If it is a cruise you need a passport for, keep checking on it to make sure you get it back on time. Should not be a problem but you never know.
  14. Phone bill is the same every time; insurance bills are the same every time; garbage bill is the same every time; many others. And it makes no difference if it is the same or different. Every cruise is different too, and the payment dates fluctuate so even better reason to send a reminder. TA wants to earn their commission, they need to provide a service.
  15. Do people get credit card bills? They (should) know how much they owe and when the billing date is but miraculously they get a statement every month.
  16. What’s tiring is when someone makes an absolute statement and then gets all pantywadded when someone else legitimately clarifies the statement for others, who might otherwise believe it. Guessing here, but KY and OH are probably not the only examples and who says all stolen items, if pawned, are done so where they are stolen. Anyway, my opinion is that these particular items were more likely misplaced or lost than stolen.
  17. What would be the point? All that useful content is about Allstate—-which is going away. How useful will that be? There already have been several AARP threads started through the years. So merge and put them under the Allstate title. Very helpful——-NOT! Furthermore, no one needs to look for AARP info and only find a thread with 230 pages of useless info.
  18. If your hand is infected, yes you could spread via the button. However, this discussion was about the unsupported idea that filling your water bottle under the dispenser(pushing the button with your finger) was somehow significantly less safe than using a clean cup to transfer the water to your bottle. But since you use that same finger to push the button……..And most water bottles hold more than one cup so using the same “clean” cup twice (after possibly touching your water bottle with it) would be just as “dangerous”. And since it has not once been proven to be a source of contamination, it would be a waste of money to install bottle fillers. Bottom line: Some people just like to complain when others do something different than they do. If it is different, it must be wrong.
  19. Why waste that money when they are no different than the dispensers presently used. You just have to press a button instead of the bottle triggering the dispensing.
  20. I also know of someone in WI associated with a place that does that. Apparently a nice wooded area. Think I’ll stick with cremation.
  21. Where every single bottle filled is placed under the dispenser. Same as in airports and many other places. And no one ever complains about these because that is how you fill your water bottle. No different than placing your water bottle under the dispenser on a ship—except people will complain about unsubstantiated opinions.
  22. Read your title and wondered who ever noticed a “bad ceiling”. 😊 It may have been on my mind since on our cruise two weeks ago I walked by a cabin and the steward was dusting the ceiling. I don’t think people need to worry so much that cabins aren’t getting just as clean with once a day as with twice.
  23. That’s why I SAID it’s a good idea to take it. I always take drivers license (enhanced in my case but any will do) wherever I go. Have needed it possibly half the time or less when reboarding. Again my last week experience in Nassau was not a one-off. There were three ships in port and everyone I observed over a period of time was only showing ship card to any of the multiple checkers. It was also not especially busy so they could have asked if they wanted to. If you get checked, you get checked but it is not a given that we all will. I don’t understand why anyone would go anywhere (off the ship) or traveling without ID but some do I guess. In the other extreme, some won’t get off the ship without their passport—rarely instructed to.
  24. I think we can squeeze out a little more as this topic is udderly fascinating. And I just “validated” that when I repeated it to someone for whom English is not their first language and they half smiled and half nodded in agreement. They turned and walked away smiling but exposing their D…….. 🙂 😂
