  1. We don’t like the thermal spa on the E class. The loungers aren’t as comfortable as those on the S class. What is the purpose of sitting in a room with a block of salt or a crystal? We mostly sail in the Caribbean, if I want to sit in a hot humid salty area I will do it on my balcony while listening and watching the waves instead of looking at 4 blank walls. The swinging chairs are idiotic. They don’t swing as they are anchored by a short rope to the floor, plus why would you sit in them? They aren’t that comfortable and don’t have any view. Sit in the chair and read? There is no place to set a water bottle or anything else. There are better and more comfortable places on the ship. More design for look and style instead of function that is designed by Kelly like many other features on the E class. The common shower tunnel is like walking thru a car wash. All it needs is a spray of body wash at the entrance, and a spray of lotion plus blowers at the end to dry off. The best Persian Garden is on on the Reflection Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. Why should I talk you out of it? If you want to do it go for it. I am not a rep for Celebrity and don’t get paid anything for you sailing on them. I think many on this forum are looking at alternative cruise lines as Celebrity is getting too expensive and not producing a premium product We have recently sailed on Celebrity. The service is great as it is on every cruise line but the quality has gone down. The premium beverage package is a joke as many wines, liquors, and beers that were listed in that weren’t available. The reason was supply issue. The supply issue is that Celebrity doesn’t want to supply it. I have no problem finding any of that stuff at the local liquor stores, and they have plenty of it. The entertainment is very poor. I have seen better at the local high school and the amateur community theater. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. Many areas on the Reflection are expanded. There are also more cabins so some think it is more crowded and it is in some areas but there are also expanded decks. Blu is a litter more cramped because there are more AQ cabins and is the same space with added tables The gym area is larger along with the World Class Bar and the Sunset bar. The Persian Garden is larger with more loungers and a cold room It has a large variety of special restraints. it is our favorite S class ship, but they are all nice and enjoyed every one. Blu and the Persian Garden only affect those in AQ The Sky Lounge is also truncated for the addition of more suites. It has some good features and also some not so good depending on what you value. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. Before you book a week pass for the Persian Garden on the Summit you should look at it first It is in a room with no windows and has a heated bench like a church pew along one wall. The size will accommodate 4 people with some space between, 6 is too crowded. When in AQ we don’t waste our time going there and we don’t use our free pass either. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. We have done 28 days, four 7 day cruises because of the lift and shifts. I was ready during the middle of the 3rd week to go home. I got tired of eating, drinking and laying around and like you commented the shows got very old. Even now on many Celebrity cruises we don’t bother going to the lame production shows as they are still the same and didn’t enjoy the the first time. There are also some guest entertainers that we don’t want to see again. We sail 2 times a year and that is plenty. Passengers will tell us about all of the cruises they have planned and how many they have recently been on and all in the Caribbean because they live near by and it is such a great bargain as they couldn’t eat that cheap at home. We go as a way to escape from the cold for a few days but 14 to 21 days are enough. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. It is ok if in AQ. Wouldn’t pay extra for it. The issue is that it was a AQ perk. Now that others can purchase a pass and with the addition of AQ suites the place can get very crowded. On one cruise we went there and all of the loungers were occupied was told to come back 30 minutes later. We did that and the same people were still there. I took a picture. Went back 30 minutes later and still the same. I showed the attendant at the desk. She went in and asked for any one that had been there longer to please leave as passengers are waiting. No one left. Went back another day and it was the same. Out of 7 days we were able to use it once and that was around 6 pm. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. And there are also those that are playing games on their tablets with the sound effects on, doing FaceTime chats, making phone calls, or watching a video with the sound on. One time there was a female with long nails that was using the keyboard on her tablet. It was bad enough that there was a loud tapping that her nails made but she also had the sound turned up and on for every key stroke. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. It is the cruise line advertising that it that they have the most cruises to sell during that period Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. You are correct. I am now 76. 3 years ago I was doing Beachbody P 90 X, Insanity, Focus , Max 30 and etc. Biked around 2500 miles per year. I never took an elevator on any cruises expect for first and last day because of our carry on. Then my right hip started to bother me. I thought it was just something I could stretch out of. It got worse. I was limping around like Walter Brennan. I went to a doctor. My hip was totally deteriorated. I had to have it replaced in 2021. After that I thought my problems were gone. This year my left hip had to be replaced. The 4 th disc in my back has also deteriorated. I am still recovering from the hip replacements. My leg strength still hasn’t recovered. I would have never thought that 2 years would have had that much affect. The doctors tell me I am really doing great and better than most especially for my age. They tell me that I had major surgeries and it takes a lot of time to recover. I don’t accept that. I never signed that contract. YES there is eons of difference, as I was one that was probably in better shape than many 30 year olds but now limited. The mind is willing but the body is weak. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. I am looking at one that is in St Thomas Destination Highlight: Amazing Mountain Views and Villa Botanica. This tour is not suitable for guests who are blind or deaf. I am sure that many wouldn’t be suitable for those that are blind, but the blind can do many amazing things. I am sure that a snorkeling tour wouldn’t be suitable but they could still experience the boat ride, floating in the sea, laying on a beach and feeling the sand under their feet. The blind could still experience the scents, touch, and sounds. The deaf could still see everything. I guess not being suitable doesn’t mean not allowed. My daughter is a track coach for the girls team for a middle school. She had a totally blind runner that was also in a class she had. She was the best on the team. There were students from the HS track team that guided her on a tether. She would walk home from school after practice because the school buses weren’t running . My daughter would offer a ride but she wouldn’t accept it. She would also ski down hill on a tether Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. I am not sure but the window washing scaffold may obstruct part of the view from the port side. It may bother some. Merry Christmas 🎄 And Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. I found the area disappointing. The loungers were very difficult to get into. They are very close to each other and the overhead slanted window doesn’t allow much head room. I am fairly flexible and have BMI of 23. I am sure larger passenger would have a tough time. Those different rooms are a waste of space. To me they were rather boring and don’t serve any purpose. Sitting in a room with a salt block or a crystal? The shower alley isn’t as nice as those shower stalls on the other classes. Walk thru a corridor like a car going thru a car wash. Only thing missing was the spray of soap at the start and maybe body lotion at the end. We also found that the loungers weren’t as comfortable as those on the S class and during the day the sun would beat on you’ve assured they are under the slanted glass window. We were on the Apex doing B2B for 14 days in AQ and only used the place 2 times. Those swinging chairs are useless and not comfortable. I think the area is like most stuff on the E class that is for design and not function. This is our opinion and I am sure others will disagree Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. We did the Chef table because we had a lot of OBC and everyone raved about it. Very disappointing. They had 11 of us crowded around a table for 8. The chef or his rep didn't do anything except announce what was to be served. Didn’t explain anything about it. If we had better table mates it may have been more enjoyable. One was the food expect that thought he knew everything about food and criticized everything. Another couple constantly complained about how slow the service was and were in a rush. They left before the deserts were served. We knew they were going to be a problem because they started when we were waiting in the bar to do the kitchen tour. Another couple kept interrupting the senior officer by telling him that they weren’t interested in the subjects he was talking about and always tried to change the topic. Then there was a couple that felt they had put on a display of a loud orgasm with every mouthful of food. My wife and I just sat there and tried to enjoy the dinner. It would have been better to book the restaurant, had a table for two and be able to select from the menu. This was our experience. Hopefully others had better. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. I think it is a 1/2 mile walk. I always take a lot of US dollar bills. There are vendors always selling the local beers out of a cooler for a few dollars. It is legal to drink the beer in public. There is also a cheese store/factory on the way. It is nice to stop in and get some free samples. The cheese is very good. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

  16. You were allowed to take food off of the ship? What port was that? Most have warning signs about taking food off of the ship as it isn’t allowed. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. I think it is at the beginning of the year. Late Jan early Feb.
  18. How did you meet the performers? Was there a special meet and greet with them? Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. They are exciting deals, not bargains. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. Look at the photo that were posted. I think they will answer your question. I think you can look any direction you want, depending on where you sit. It is L shaped. With one section facing the balcony. happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. After taking ships tours we have found that they are over priced and exactly as described. The issue is because the way they are described we read more into it and that is done on purpose. After many disappointing tours we reread the description and agree it is exactly as described. We no longer take ships tours. We don’t like being herded around like cattle and standing in lines waiting like children for the school bus. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. Increase the price and decrease what is available. Great way to increase or make up for lost revenue. On our last cruise in Oct many of the spirits that were listed in the premium weren’t available because of a supply issue. Strange that the everything included in the Classic were. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. Their IT department is bad and so is the process for the call in center. They want you to do everything on line. Fine but make it easier and more clearer. Call and be put on hold for a long time. Get connected and they want a lot of info. The info isn’t required as it is just a general question that can’t be found in their FAQ. After giving them the info they transferred me and now on hold again. I get connected and then am told that since I booked thru a TA I have to go thru them. I could have been told that by the first agent. My question could have been answered by knowing the cruises I was on. They didn’t need to know the booking number and names on etc. The cruise that I was on and the ports of departures would have been enough. The question was I am on a B2B within 2 weeks. At that time my first cruise was 9 days so there was no Covid test required. The second cruise is 10 days. A test at that time was required for 10 day or more cruises. I wanted to know if Celebrity provides the test for the next cruise. Why couldn’t they answer that without having to go the TA and making me be on hold for a long time and then having to give the same information again? A total waste of my time and theirs. The TA now had to go thru the same process unless they already knew the answer from a similar situation. Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. Was this on a European cruise? Celebrity included the gratuity in the cost as that is the custom in Europe. European don’t add a gratuity to the bill as it is included in cost. A very good BT friend that works in a Vegas told me that the Europeans never tip for their purchased drinks or complimentary drinks. It isn’t their fault as it isn’t expected in their country because it isn’t necessary because the cost includes it. We were in Bermuda sitting at a bar called the Frog and Onion having a drink. The menu stated that the gratuity is included. Most Americans don’t notice that and tip additional. A couple sitting next to us checked out. The male paid the bill with his credit card and added a gratuity. The female left a cash gratuity. Both were feeling really good and at the verge of having sex at the bar. They were hammering down the drinks and said they were there a few hours. We engaged in a conversation. They were on the other ship in the port. He signed the bill with his credit card . The female put money in the folder and handed it to the BT and said I have the tip He said I added it to the bill . I said it is included in the price. He said wow, we really over tipped but someone will be getting a different tip very shortly.. I seen their bill. It was almost $300. He said the drinks really add up and I didn’t think we had that many. They left at least $120 between them plus the 20% added on the bill Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
