cruisekitty22 Posted August 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2018 We are going on Infinity in Dec next year. What is difference in Cabin classes? I just want a plain old Ocean view room. Do I have to eat at the buffet every night? Or do I get to eat in the main dining rooms and specialty rooms? Is it all based on cabin assignment. I dont understand the "classes" of ship/room/dining? Everyone on the ship can eat in the Main Dining Room, you will be assigned a seat there unless you are in a suite or and Aqua class cabin. They have their own dining room but still can eat in the MDR. Everyone can eat in the buffet or in the Specialty restaurants, specialty restaurants will cost you depending on where you eat. Every ship has a grill near the pool and also Aqua Spa Cafe which is in the Solarium, each are open to everyone. Oceanview cabin categories and prices will depend on what deck you are on. All passengers have free access to the Buffett and the main dining room. There is no additional cost. For those that book in Aqua class they have access to the Blu restaurant and those that book suites have access to Luminae. I hope this answers your question. If you want an Oceanview the categories are basically related to where on the ship that cabin is. On Celebrity there are restaurants that are limited to Aqua Class or Suites. You will be able to eat in the Buffet, the MDR, the burger bar, all free. Or at the specialty restaurants for an upcharge. In the MDR you will have a choice (made when you book) of Traditional, same seat, fixed time each night. Or any time, you rock up whenever you like, there is sometimes (not often) a shortish wait. NantahalaCruiser Posted August 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2018 On Celebrity there are two classes of cabins that have their own dining rooms included in the price of their cabin: suites have Luminae and Aqua has Blu. All other cabins: inside, oceanview, standard balconies and Concierge cabins are assigned to the Main Dining Room included in the price of their cabins. ALL cabins can also eat with no additional fee in the Oceanview Cafe (buffet), Mast Grill (burgers, dogs, fries), & Spa Cafe (light fare). And finally, all cabins can eat for an additional fee in specialty restaurants that charge an additional $35 to $50 per person per night depending on the restaurant. Room service is also free except in the late evening hours. Enjoy.

Your fare includes all your meals (buffet or main dining room) , room , cleaning of room and shows. Cabins come in four basic clesses 1 Inside -no window 2 Oceanview - Has a window that gives a view and natural sunlight 3 Balcony - has a deck that you can sit on 4 Suite There are different sub categories in each of the four basic. CYNSport Posted August 21, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2018 This question seems a little disingenuous since you have already asked about what to wear because you “don’t want to be turned away from dinner”.

TeaBag Posted August 21, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 21, 2018 (edited) Are you married to Doug? I don't think so. Doug is married to Cindy. This must be his sister. Doug's threads seem to be locked. All of these questions being asked can be answered on Celebrity's site, bad as it is. Edited August 21, 2018 by TeaBag
tallnthensome Posted August 21, 2018 #13 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Who honestly asks if they have to eat in the buffet and thinks they aren't allowed in the MDR? ..... especially while sailing Celebrity. This isn't the Titantic with 3rd class bottom feeders...... or Carnival for that matter. This has to be a joke.

tallnthensome Posted August 21, 2018 #15 Share Posted August 21, 2018 (edited) This person asks more ridiculous questions than anyone I've ever seen. They've actually had to ask if they could bring a night light for their cabin and if her husband can wear sweatpants to the MDR. Again, this must be a joke.
