Edward Garth - CD

We were told today by O home office that Edward Garth will be the CD on our Riviera T/A cruise in Nov this year (the brochure stated that Roy Perez would be the CD).

I do not recall hearing that name before.

Is anyone familiar with Mr. Garth?

We are sailing 2 cruises after your T/A. Never heard of Mr Garth. Hope he is good at trivia:)

Never heard of him either but apparently at one time he was asst. CD on Marco Polo ship. Here's a YouTube video of him performing:

As I am new to Oceania, and sailing soon with Mr. Garth as CD, I am wondering what your comment means. Is that good, or bad???

OMG! so glad we never have gone, and probably never will go, to any shows on O. Not a weakness for us but I feel for anyone who wants entertainment.

O is hiring him as a CD not the featured nightly entertainer - big difference. He may not even perform at all - most CDs do not, except maybe a song here and there.

None of us here know how he will do as a CD.

Why don't we give him a chance before judging him - it's only fair.

I have not seen any other CD sing during the shows

I don't judge my CDs on their abilities as a singer, but on their organizational abilities and their personality. I will be seeing

this guy soon, and will judge.

As per my post on the Roll Call Roy says that he will be on till Jan. Ed Garth is the asst CD. Roy had a nice laugh over it.

I will be with Roy on Riviera on Dec 12 -- looking forward to it -- I sailed with him when he was asst CD and he was loads of fun. I can check out Mr. Garth for myself. LOL

Edward Garth was the assistant CD on our Riviera cruise last week and Roy was CD. Edward was very good and did a show one night in horizons which was great.
