It is $74 per person/per night in an Inside (cat M) vs. $132 pppd in a Junior Suite .... taxes included.

Which one will you pick from your first instinct?

I understand the difference between "I don't spend much time in the cabin at all... " VS. "I can't cruise without at least balcony ... ". We are fine with either, but obviously a balcony and more space is nicer. For the respective cabin types, I think both prices are good prices.

This is on the Liberty of the Seas for the 5-night Western Caribbean cruise.

Thanks.

edit: this is for 2 people.

Look at the final cost for both rooms and see which fits your budget best. Where does the OV or balcony fit in for price.

Because we don't have an unlimited supply of money , we generally book a cheaper room for a shorter cruise and try to take the best accommodations for a longer cruise. If you cruise once a year or less, then the better accommodation might be a nice vacation for you. If you cruise several times a year, the cheaper room might be fine for the short get away.

We are lucky that we are happy in a variety of accommodations and are not limited to only one type of cabin. We might have a suite one cruise and an OV the next. No problem for us, and once you have a suite - YOU CAN GO BACK!!!

enjoy

For me, if I'm flying from Canada, I'm getting the better cabin (after all, how often am I going to fly down to FL and cruise? ) if I lived in FL and can drive to port and take a cruise every weekend if I find a "deal" then I take the interior because I can use the savings to go again another weekend soon;)

Ps I don't know which applies to u since plenty of folks fm Canada spend their winters in FL

Sorry I know I am cheap but I wouldn't spend that much more on a room, as long as I have a clean place to sleep and a place to get a shower I'll save the money for another vacation! That's $406 X 2 a lot of excursion money to me!

Go with the JS for sure.

We like having a balcony & are happy with just that. We're willing to pay a little more for higher balcony categories to get a bigger balcony though. Out of your choices I'd choose the JS, because an inside is out for me. (It's a darkness thing. :o) If the inside was more in my budget, I'd seriously consider the OV & would probably go for it.

JS - No question. The last time I booked an Inside, DH wasn't happy.

Remember double C&A points in the JS.

Lol I sailed in a promenade once with DD as I thought she would enjoy the shows. My DH wouldn't even entertain one of those ;)

There are many things that you could with the almost $600 difference in cabin prices. You could go to specialty restaurants if you want, go on excursions you may not have, go to the spa, go to the casino ( if you gamble), drink like a fish, etc....of course, if you already do these activities and the money isn't an issue......go for the junior suite.

A JS for sure! It's the only way we go. And yes we do spend time in the room! We love heading to the cabin in the afternoon and ordering room service snacks and taking them out to the balcony. We take our pillows and nap in the lounge chairs on the balcony. It's the best part of the cruise. The most relaxing thing:). I love having the bigger bathroom with the nice big tub/shower. And then there is that amazing walk in closet! I think spending the money on five days of enjoying a balcony (the BEST ocean front view you will ever have) is much better then spending it on an hour in the spa or 20 minutes in the casino. I think people in inside rooms don't spend time in their rooms because, well, it's small and dark.

If you would be OK with a hotel room without windows for a week, the inside could work for you.

Consider NORO. DH had that once. I never got it but was required to not leave the cabin either. I would have had BIG time cabin fever if it had not been for our balcony. It was also a nice place for him to sit when he started feeling better.

I voted for the junior suite. We actually have a regular balcony for MORE on a four night cruise. The inside isn't really worth it, especially with the JS being 200 more pp. 264 dollars a night for great food, nice room, and more? That is cheaper than my local beach resort. Better yet, get an aft balocny. Enjoy!

We usually book Jr. Suites but on our last cruise we decided to book the forward Family Ocean view for the two of us. Yes, there was two of us in a FOV. We loved the extra room, used the second bedroom, well more like a closet with bunk beds, for our luggage and enjoyed the view of the helipad .

But, we still missed our balcony.

I say go for the Jr. Suite. This might be the only time you will get one at that price.
