If it's American, then once you add in fees and taxes and make the exchange rate conversion, it actually works out more expensive.

 

Then there is the reduced OBC.

No, but they often do good deals on trips. I have used them before for a USA fly/cruise tour. USA National park tour followed by Alaska cruise. All went well except there were 52 in the group. No spare seats on coach but no problem once on board ship.
