John F Posted November 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I was wondering if Celebrity has Elite level lapel pins as a perk. We like to would like to wear them on Formal nights. Many thanks. John & Priscilla :)
cruisead Posted November 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Nope. No such thing. The only thing that identifies your level is your sign and sail card.
Rare Turtles06 Posted November 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) Nope. No such thing. The only thing that identifies your level is your sign and sail card. I guess the OP could pin that to his lapel. (Sorry, this thread really made me LOL.) Edited November 26, 2014 by Turtles06
cle-guy Posted November 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Only Zenith's get lapel pins.
phoenix_dream Posted November 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2014 If you read these boards enough, you will find that announcing your Captains Club level is really frowned upon by the masses. I know RCI gives out pins but thankfully Celebrity does not (except for Zenith I guess - and we are all jealous of those folks anyway:)). I don't mean to be insulting - just letting you know that at least based upon Cruise Critic posters, letting someone know you are Elite or whatever unless asked is not always taken well. sloopsailor Posted November 26, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I guess the OP could pin that to his lapel. Or the OP could tape a sign to his forehead that says "I'm Elite"
CruisingChick Posted November 26, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Talk about an unnecessary expense. Who wants them spending money on lapel pins? Really?
DYKWIA Posted November 26, 2014 #9 Share Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) I've heard people mentioning on some cruises that there are upwards of 300 people who are Elites - and then there Zeniths and others (?) above this. Doesn't really equate to my understanding of the word elite, but if it floats your boat.... Edited November 26, 2014 by DYKWIA

Doesn't really equate to my understanding of the word elite, but if it floats your boat.... "Zenith" is the top loyalty level, nothing above it-yet. There is a Zenith pin, but I've never seen anyone wearing it. Wonder what it would fetch on eBay?
yellowhat Posted November 26, 2014 #11 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Hello CC. I am booked for January 2015 Equinox .. curious to see what a 'ZZ' pin looks like.. I would like to say 'beam me up Scotty?' in the elevator. Great show. :D
bouhunter Posted November 26, 2014 #12 Share Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) We're Diamond on RCCL and have never received the Platinum, Emerald or Diamond pins they supposedly give out. Could care less, I would feel like a fool wearing one...... Edited November 26, 2014 by bouhunter
budisal Posted November 26, 2014 #13 Share Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) Just pin money to your tux. That should get the point across to the plebes! ladytaekwondo Posted November 26, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 26, 2014 We received pins on Royal and they are lying in the bottom of my jewelry box. During the cruise we got them, I lost my safety pins so I used it to repair my bra strap till I could get to the cabin to get duck tape.
budisal Posted November 26, 2014 #15 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Jeeves. Pack our trunks. We are departing immediately for the Queen Mary II. They understand the term Elite. LMAO! Sent from Al's iPad using Tapatalk

Some may consider it gauche to ask about or display a lapel pin, but who could possibly fail to see the charm of a "bra strap knick-knack" that announces one's "status" :) Great story! budisal Posted November 26, 2014 #21 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I hope the OP accepts the humour and fun his post has produced. All in good fun. Northern Aurora Posted November 26, 2014 #22 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I also hope that the OP accepts the humor his/her post has prompted. But ladytaekwondo must be commended for her fast thinking and creative use of that pin! And diesel1973's idea of tattoos had me laughing at the keyboard! John F Posted November 26, 2014 Author #23 Share Posted November 26, 2014 We are getting ready for our 78th cruise in a few days and are always proud to wear our earned level lapel pins. We are Diamond Plus on RCCL, Diamond on Carnival and so on other cruise lines that we travel on. I was very serious in my first posting. cruise kitty Posted November 26, 2014 #24 Share Posted November 26, 2014 They passed out Celebrity "Connections" pins at a cruise critic party a few years back, DH still has his stuck to his backpack. :) Status pins, medallions, not my thing :) But if someone enjoys them, why not? budisal Posted November 26, 2014 #25 Share Posted November 26, 2014 Hey, if I'd cruised 77 times I'd proudly wear my pins too. We were just having a little fun. Please don't take offence. None was intended. Have a great 78th cruise. Sent from Al's iPad using Tapatalk
