neverbeenhere Posted December 5, 2014 #27 Share Posted December 5, 2014 We would go for the Promenade deck, faster internet (which will be attempted), adult venues and the formal dining room, but please don't make the storage any bigger than it is already. It is more than adequate for our needs no matter how many b2b2b's, and would only shrink the floor space.:)
DirtyDawg Posted December 5, 2014 #28 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Good food Decent wine cellar The bars stock a good rye Enough loungers by the pools Enough loungers in the shade Good beds The engines work, so we can get somewhere... And the thing floats Then I'm All Good!:D

redjetz Posted December 6, 2014 #30 Share Posted December 6, 2014 --venue for drinks and live pop/rock music, PLEASE - and good performers -- another outdoor pool --indoor T-pool for adults -- a casual dining area that is table service not the buffet -- definitely a promenade deck
capecruzer Posted December 6, 2014 #31 Share Posted December 6, 2014 I second the self-service laundry OR at the very least, an "ironing" room if you will. This is causing stress in my house for our upcoming cruise :o
chrismakris Posted December 6, 2014 #32 Share Posted December 6, 2014 My wishlist: 1 - If they are planning on doing a big screen, have it in the theatre and dedicate one night to new release movies. Early show that is family friendly(G-PG) and one at 10:00 pm that is more adult orientated(PG -13). 2 - A casino/lounge. An area at the front or rear of the ship that overlooks the water. You would have a sunken area that is for music and lounging and an upper area that is the casino. 3 - Balconies big enough that each one can have two loungers 4 - Basil Hayden's Bourbon 5 - Art gallery that changes with the area the ship is sailing
Northern Aurora Posted December 6, 2014 #33 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Interesting reading all of the comments. In particular I would ask for more hooks, nightstands with at least one drawer, fog-free bathroom mirrors in all staterooms (not just Aqua), and a clothesline in showers. A self-serve laundry is a feature I have absolutely no interest in seeing on a Celebrity ship.
Wayneair Posted December 6, 2014 #34 Share Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) I also throw my support in for a wrap around promenade deck and a self serve laundry room with an iron. Also an indoor bar on high up deck with great windows for when it's cold or wet days. A place where it's more relaxing that sitting in the lounge currently on the top deck. Single staterooms and some of them balcony rooms. Edited December 6, 2014 by Wayneair
Hapytocruise Posted December 6, 2014 #35 Share Posted December 6, 2014 I second the self-service laundry OR at the very least, an "ironing" room if you will. This is causing stress in my house for our upcoming cruise :o Yes, an ironing room please. It could be on deck 2 down with medical centre so not to take away from prim real estate Sent from my iPad using Forums
smtcan Posted December 6, 2014 #36 Share Posted December 6, 2014 A piano bar would be wonderful, so would a proper promenade deck, although i suspect this will be lost to the need for more balcony cabins. Bathrooms like S class please and the doors in alcoves so adjoining cabins do not have to have doors in the walls.
Christine Frances Posted December 6, 2014 #37 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Great idea for a thread! I have been a very good boy this year Santa, and I would like to see the following on your new ships: * MUCH Faster Internet * More closet space in all staterooms * More varied Persian Gardens * RFID Technology like the royal bands instead of SeaPass'es * More adult-only (i.e. no children allowed anywhere near it) venues Thanks! Love these ideas! Really don't care about a Promenade as we have been on ships with them and walking around is really boring. The Boardwalk on NCL is intreaging with the Al Fresco dining on the Promenade If the Lawn Club is replaced, hopefully something similar that is serene, quiet and removed from the crowded/noisy pool deck. Go back to the old Aqua Spa Cafe menu Keep the Lawn Club Grill Keep the wonderful Sunset Bar area Keep the glass shower doors Storage is not a problem in the cabin as even for 2 weeks we don't take that much stuff but the bathroom storage is a must so do not change. Keep the trees in the Atrium or have another signature feature!
CathyCruises Posted December 6, 2014 #38 Share Posted December 6, 2014 I only have one request. That's it, just one. I can't think of anything that I would rather have, than a . . .wait for it. . .T POOL!!!!!
Rare Germancruiser Posted December 6, 2014 #39 Share Posted December 6, 2014 I also hope and wish for a nice prommenade deck- I was surprised how many miss that on S- Class. On Zuiderdam two month ago I so enjoyed the wrapround prommenade deck- real DECK as in WOOD- FLOOR- GREAT VIEWS OUT TO THE SEA ! THAT is ship feeling. I just read that in some new builts the idea is to get back to the more conept of more connection with the environment in which the ships sail in- the SEA! Very good idea! SantaFeFan Posted December 6, 2014 #42 Share Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) My wish list (based on other wish lists presented here): NO water slides of any kind (there are plenty of other cruise lines to go to if that is what you want) NO outdoor movie screen, ever (there are plenty of other cruise lines to go to if that is what you want) NO self service laundry rooms to have to pass by and ignore (there are plenty of other cruise lines to go to if that is what you want) NO chain restaurants (there are plenty of other cruise lines to go to if that is what you want) I want "Modern luxury", not "Family resort". I also want the focus to continue being on adults, not children. I want a cruise vacation that is as devoid of screaming kids, including parents that won't control them, as possible. koolforkatz Posted December 6, 2014 #43 Share Posted December 6, 2014 A small wine bar, maybe similar to the champagne bars they used to have. GUT2407 Posted December 6, 2014 #45 Share Posted December 6, 2014 OK here goes Cabins * Larger doorways [us little blokes find some a squeeze and if you could get a wheelchair/scooter through the door of every room what a boon, even if then the room occupant had to squeeze around it *Spacious & Bright Bathrooms *Shower Doors *Clothesline in the Bathroom *More Drawer Storage for the Cabin area I would prefer that the lower drawers in the cabins not be as deep, and that another drawer be added *Dresser/desk be the same height so t can be treated as one space even a narrow bench from the wardrobe to the wall. *More [better placed power points], some are useless if the plug on your item points the wrong way *Several more hooks on the wall *Better range of movies programs on TV *Good beds Balconies big enough so each could get the Loungers & Footstools OV cabins with a floor to ceiling window Dining *Tables for two in the MDR spread through out the different sections, so they aren't stacked together. *Maintain formal nights, or at least two MDR’s one with formal night one without, and then enforce Formal *At least maintain the level of food and service in free dining venues, maybe even improve it a little *Perhaps a larger range of casual food ie fish and chips, burgers, pies, BBQ Hot dogs perhaps even on alternate days Entertainment *I wouldn't mind a screen, but only to show movies at NIGHT. Don't have it blasting through the day. *A ship designed in such a way that its various entertainment venues are separate so that each venue can be enjoyed without effect on adjacent venues General *Please keep the size down [2000 max] more personal, better Port access. *Make the ship totally non smoking *A laundry room, preferably not on a deck without cabins [it could be on the deck with medical centre so not to take away from prime real estate], or at least an ironing room On second thoughts ignore all this or I might never get off. monicajay Posted December 6, 2014 #46 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Wow, this is the most positive thread in a long time! I'm so happy to see that I'm not the only one who enjoys a real promenade deck. NCL does it right with some usable outdoor eating space.
GUT2407 Posted December 6, 2014 #47 Share Posted December 6, 2014 OK I forgot to add More outdoor eating spaces Promenade deck Access to Bow and Stern areas but a Promenade deck would deal with this too.

neverbeenhere Posted December 6, 2014 #49 Share Posted December 6, 2014 Like what you have there SantaFeFan, plus No (or not too much) gamer area on the ships, because by 2020, gamers will be a larger part of cruise patrons. Keep them on RCL.
Blue Lagoon Posted December 6, 2014 #50 Share Posted December 6, 2014 I'm putting in my wish for everything danceable: - generous sized wood dance floors that are not jammed in between a lounge/ the Guest Relations Area/and a staircase like on the S class ships. - super, live bands like Twist of Eight on Millie - DJ's (we only need one of those on each ship) that play requests - more Big Band music featured by the Celebrity Orchestra
