bigairboarder44 Posted January 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2015 Walk outside on deck 4. Walk forward to a flight of stairs, go up the stairs and continue forward. You can also go into The Sphinx and turn right or left right in front of the bar/sound booth and go out those doors and head to the bow. It was never closed that I noticed. sjb317 Posted January 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2015 If it is really windy or rough seas, they will close the gate that allows access up the stairs. I have found it to be closed on a few occasions. The helipad is my favorite place for stargazing at night, very dark & usually quiet. On a clear night it is amazing the number of stars you can see. peteukmcr Posted January 20, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2015 It's very windy...be prepared! Not on any sail away from a Caribbean/Florida port I've experienced. Now mid Atlantic on a transatlantic crossing is another matter.
WupperAV Posted February 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2015 If the wind is 20-30 K from the direction you are headed you get 50K wind in the face. Was on the top deck of Princess ship once and you could lean into it and not fall down at a 45 degree angle. That was windy.

Merion_Mom Posted March 5, 2016 #14 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Thank you for the access information. Is the helipad accessible when leaving/arriving at ports? On the Freedom class, the helipad is never blocked unless something is going on there.

constable145 Posted March 20, 2017 #19 Share Posted March 20, 2017 A sudden gust of wind cost me a pair of Ray-Bans on the Radiance a few years ago. Just a word of caution.

Sherri:) We are on the April 23rd sailing. This will be our second time on the Liberty. I love the helipad. I haven't been up there at night for star gazing, but I'm gonna have to do it this time for sure. SaveSave

SaveSave don't miss the Mini-Golf either. . . tends to be DEAD at night, and the stargazing from there was good too.
