Everything about Harmony of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Will harmony be staying in Europe? or will it go to the Caribbean after it does it sail around Europe,

Harmony will go to Ft. Lauderdale after Europe, displacing Oasis which will go to Port Canaveral.

What ship will be in Europe then

Harmony leaves Europe in Fall 2016. Royal has not released the summer schedule for 2017 yet, and probably won't until March/April 2016.

Hoping harmony stays in Florida for summer 2017. We are booked in April 2017 but may need to change to June if the schools decide to make spring break the week before Easter instead of the week after. Want to do eastern itinerary so can't just move to week before and I want to cruise harmony.

I noticed the AquaTheater (A4) is only a 1 bdrm/1 bath on Harmony, just like the 'new GS' on Oasis/Allure suites

The room/balcony are completely different... just wondering if they are going to keep it classed as an A4 or match Oasis/Allure and reclass it as a GS

The aft GS on oasis/allure are being reclassed as A4/A3

/ (with Prime Table?)

/ Suite Sun Deck (forward)

/ Suite Bar and lounge *forward deck.

Great summary-

I'm looking forward to experiencing these differences. I imagine the art and finishes will be unique - similar to quantum?? Regardless of what they do it will be fun to watch the progress

Quantum had the most and smartest storage of any cruise cabin I have even stayed in! Loved that room!

I really hope they incorporate more storage on Harmony. Allure's storage was noticeably lacking compared to Freedom class. Balcony cabins on Allure were 182 sq.' versus 199 sq.' on Freedom. More cabins, less space.

Perhaps they will do something like Quantum!

What I don't understand is Harmony is an Oasis/Quantum class hybrid but they put her in the Oasis class. Why not the Quantum class, since it was built later? I had never heard of a cruise line doing that before.

Harmony is not a hybrid ship, not by a long shot. She was born, bread, designed, engineered and built as 100% Oasis class. She shares the exact same hull and superstructure as her Oasis sisters. There is zero Quantum running through her blood.

I did not know that- How are they different? Are the OV balcony cabins larger than the Oasis/Allure? That would be nice. :) Thanks

Maybe they have a center desk drawer, drawers on either side of the of the desk, drawers in the nightstands, and the safe out of the closet???

Does this mean all GS's might be reclassed? We booked a GS (8660 - it's not an aft cabin) specifically so we'd be able to take advantage of the Coastal Kitchen and suite lounge during the 13 day transatlantic. All OS's are already sold out, and while I know the lofts are very nice, didn't want to deal with stairs.

No, it doesn't. It is only the suites that were added in the area that was previously the public balconies on Oasis and Allure that are being reclassified.

Those suites are already in the right category on Harmony.

do someone know about christening ( place and date)

I do not think there has been an announcement.

While they do have the days prior to the maiden voyage on May 29, 2016 in Southampton as a possibility, they might be waiting for the end of that sailing and do it on Barcelona.

The ship arrives in Barcelona on Sunday, June 5th, 2016, but does not sail on her first revenue sailing until Tuesday, June 7th, 2016.

I just wanted to put this out there...

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/connect/coolest-new-2016-cruises/#.VYhunlog5hA.twitter

According to this link, which was shared on Twitter by Royal PR, "Harmony of the Seas debuts Spring 2016 with plenty of reasons to get excited – like all the perks that make Oasis class the world’s favorite cruise ships, plus the newest experiences of Quantum class, PLUS a few surprises we can’t tell you about just yet. You can be among the first to experience Harmony of the Seas’ seven neighborhoods and three towering waterslides on her debut sailings to the Western Mediterranean, all through the summer."

Hmm, what could this be referring to? Is there any spaces left on the deck plans where they could be adding some sort of surprise? This article was published on June 18, 2015 by the way, so very current.

We got what seemed to be a good price for a 1 bedroom AquaTheater (A4 category) suites in Feb. 2017. I'm really hoping that the bathrooms in those are larger than those in the 2 bedroom suites. Any idea when cabin layouts will start to show up?

After the ship has sailed.

We all know Royal's track record when releasing information...
