need2bespoiled Posted November 18, 2015 Author #301 Share Posted November 18, 2015 That I have not heard of. It sounds like it might be specific to a certain ship. No. Others have reported it as well. We have had it on two different ships. The casino will have a list of names to verify that have Michael's Club access and they do not charge a fee. Maybe this only applied to Royal suite, Zenith and up but I am pretty sure the only sailing we had in a CS and Michael's Club we had it too. I wonder if they will provide this benefit to SS or just leave it for the other suites who had it previously. Happy sailing, Jenna

greenline Posted November 18, 2015 #304 Share Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) If you do nothing to your booking, you will get: Michael's Club Access You will loose (unless something changes) Free specialty restaurant. I would suggest seeing if you can rebook your cabin under the new promo at the same price, or slightly more, if you can, you would add: Premium instead of classic package Unlimited free internet Possibly additional OBC and pre-paid gratuities. Happy sailing, Jenna Thanks Jenna I got a special deal when I booked free drink package, free gratuities, and 300 dollars on board credit and my agent gave me another 50.00 not sure that would be included if I tried to rebook. Now getting the Free specialty restaurant does not bother me many options. We have been booked for 6 months already. The free internet would be nice :). I will contact my TA and see if she check check into it. Edited November 18, 2015 by greenline
Rare POA1 Posted November 18, 2015 #305 Share Posted November 18, 2015 Two cabins in our party for a family cruise in April got reductions of $630/cabin for S1 & S2. No loss in perks. No change in cabin assignment. The credit goes to my DSIL who is an absolute hawk when it comes to pricing. We were happy with the price and terms under which we booked originally, but the $90 per room per night savings and the addition of Michael's Club is great. Happy sailing, Jenna When I inquired with Celebrity for our last sailing (9/15) I was told that anyone that had access to Michael's Club would not be charged the fee. When i went to the Casino I mentioned this and no fee was charged. I am going to inquire again because we are sailing in a SS 12/16 and do not want to carry cash. Gordoncruickshank Posted November 18, 2015 #311 Share Posted November 18, 2015 The last line of the post says Pre dinner drinks will be provided complimentary between 5:30pm - 8pm. Why state that if they are complimentary all day and all evening.

Karynanne Posted November 18, 2015 #314 Share Posted November 18, 2015 If premium drink packages come with suites, will all this make a big difference? Not all booked Suites will have the premium drink package. Only those that have booked with that promo, or who have had their reservation changed to include this promo. There are probably quite a lot of passengers that have previously booked a cruise before this promo, and do not read Cruise Critic, and won't know about it. need2bespoiled Posted November 19, 2015 Author #321 Share Posted November 19, 2015 As I stated in the other thread, it's interesting. I've seen that written response before, with the same information, but onboard drinks are available on a much broader schedule. Is this a change and official new information, or is it just the standard language from before? As Kevin has said, why don't they put on their adult pants and state a change is a change good or bad. Airlines do it all the time, spin or not, cruise lines are much smaller and less complex. Surely they can get this right/ I know CelebrityCruises won't answer this, but why do they clarify some threads, but not others? Happy sailing, Jenna
Rare POA1 Posted November 19, 2015 #322 Share Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) If Suites come with the upgraded beverage package, isn't a lot of this moot? Sure, there's concierge access, but that assumes that the regular staff and your butler fail you. Don't get me wrong. There's a certain appeal in a lounge that's off limits to the hoi polloi, but why place it decks and decks away?. FWIW, I think that Celebrity has so many classes of rooms and amenities that the whole thing has become a hot mess. It's like trying to explain the peerage. Just my opinion. FWIW, I think that Celebrity has so many classes of rooms and amenities that the whole thing has become a hot mess. It's like trying to explain the peerage. Just my opinion. It is only the RS and Ph suites and Zenith that have the premium beverage package (plus the other 2 Reflection only higher suites). I have a classic package which I would be upgrading anyway on all my CS and SS booked but anyone relying on Michael's as their source of free drinks may be disappointed. It is the second or third time I have seen this statement, which I ignored before knowing that drinks were available all day. We were on the Eclipse 5 weeks ago when I first saw it and Michael's was operating the way it always did. It could be that whoever did he post on the other thread from Celebrity did it using what is on the web site in the bar and lounge section under Michael's not knowing that this isn't how it works in practice, or it could be another change from 1 January that no one knows about. I pointed that out on the CS are poor relations thread but no one else reacted to it at that time I am convinced the plan has been tell the sky suites they are getting Michaeks say nothing about reduced hours or no dining and they won't notice. Look forward to the answer you get. The more thus change goes on, the more the communication of it stinks IMHO. For those of who booked prior to the new promotion this WOULD affect us as we are in a CS and no package is included. I wouldn't like it but I wouldn't like more not having any idea until we sail whether it's true or not... I tend to believe this is the "language" that X put out over a year ago when this perk first became a "perk" ..... but who knows!!!???
