Royal Suite Class program - Roll Out Date?
Yes, and it's not Loopt, the app with the geolocation that someone mentioned earlier. It's a mobile friendly website with simple chat functionality. We're onboard, so I tried it out, and it works great!
Thank-you, sounds excellent.:)
I'd go with the cabana, something you would have for the whole day and enjoy with up to 6 people.
It wasn't necessarily an either/or, with $1600 OBC we can mix it up a bit. :) I was just trying to think of ways/experiences where we could spend it, things that weren't included in the star class amenities.

Another one, the Behind the Scenes tour.

Thanks for reporting! I'll be interested in hearing more about how this ends up working.

Currently onboard Ovation, and Mia, our Genie is amazing. If you're on the fence whether or not to book a Star Class suite, do it.

I'll write a more detailed review when I'm home a week from now, but she is taking care of everything, way more than I ever expected. The only thing I have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the cruise.

From Royal Genie Margaret via her FB page.

Good afternoon from somewhere in the Caribbean! As I'm seeing many questions about the Genies and the Star Class service, I'll try to touch on a few important topics as my time permits. Remember this is NOT an official page, however! But I'll help all that I can.
First, let's talk about Loop. For those sailing around April 30, you've probably received a Loop invitation via email. This is our new Internet program which allows you to text your Genie before and during your trip in real time. ( Keep in mind that we do sleep, however. Some predeparture texts may be answered in the morning. -Loops from onboard guests will be answered by a Genie as soon as possible.) I urge you to take advantage of this option to share important info with your Genie, and arrange an arrival time so that we can personally escort you through the check-in process and get you and your luggage to your suite in a timely manner. You can, also, ask us questions and share info that will help us in planning the ultimate experience for you. Typically, you should have Loop access seven days before your sail date through four days after you depart from the ship (in case you left something, etc). Also, one primary guest will initially receive the Loop invitation, but every guest in the suite will have access when you arrive. We'll send private invites to as my guests who need access directly from the Genie, and you can use your high speed internet, Voom, to connect! We'll be with you to assist you with setting up your internet connection onboard, by the way, so no need to worry about that.
Hope that answers some questions. Have a Magical day!
Today Margaret posted a group shot of the Oasis genies. There are 4. So we can assume 4 on Allure as well. 4 seems tough with those remote Aqua theatre suites. But we shall see. :)
Did you read who she said more "Team Members" are to join them on Oasis. She said it plural so it makes us wonder who will be joining the four of them and what they do. Are they helpers or more Genies? Time will tell.

That is how I understood it as well. When she said the genies are doing familiarization and 'team members' will soon be joining them. Sounded like a group of junior genies.

One of the Genies was gracious enough to respond to a FB message. I asked about all the reservations I already have for specialty etc. the response was that is a growing pain of the transition and best to keep them all in place for now. Refunds for specialty dining will be processed during the cruise, so no need to worry about that.

As to the other team members - it has to be helpers I would think. Genies would have been in the training with them and getting to know the ship.

Hey Matt - yup, if things aren't processed, they'll take care of it onboard for you. The motto for the Genies should include "no stress" because they take care of everything!

I've posted a review of the Star Class and our excellent Genie Mia on the following thread:

Enjoy! I'm going through withdrawls!

You're review sounded amazing...as if I needed more motivation to be mentally checked out today! I can agree, it sounds like we may have a hard time slumming it after experiencing this!

So funny. I need motivation to work too.:D

Top-tier suites (Star Class) receive free internet for each person in the suite.

All the details here:

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalsuiteclass

I really hope that's not a change to the previously advertised amenities. I'm in a Sky class suite on Harmony later this year and Sky class are also supposed to have Voom internet, but I don't see that mentioned on the link provided. It is still on the .co.uk website:

http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk/discover-cruise-holidays/staterooms-and-suites/royal-suite-class/suite-benefits/

and in the brochure available to download from the website:

On the link they originally provided, its right next to 'concierge' and 'coastal kitchen'. I think they used to have it in the list towards the bottom, but it looks like they have now highlighted the feature and added a pretty picture for the amenity.

Thank you! I think I must have been too heavy handed with the scroll button!
