Solo really is the hard way! The only two cruises where I was not solo were before the spending bonus so I didn't get any help.

I am about to go on my second 4* cruise - sure is nice.

Congratulations! I know how hard it is to get there. I got 4-Star status mostly solo, mostly not spending a whole lot on the cruise, and never in a suite -- no suite-bonus days for me.

 

It's tough but I love the free laundry -- that alone will drop my on-board spending a good deal, which means 5-Star will be harder to attain.

Sorry, but because of the rules of the Star Mariner Program, you won't be a 4* until the cruise following your next cruise.
